Ya better dig into that nice tool box of yours and start tearing her down.

She's waiting patiently. And no the 2nd pic isn't white due to the flash of the camera, and the 3rd pic is of the air box!

Indy all kidding aside, it's time to switch to Arctic Cat. Might be time for a John Dee intervention. :)

NO! Just ask acatzl550, he went thru a stator, a crank seal, and 2 clutches this year. Gotta love them arctic cat's ;)

I'm surprised to make it this far (1600 miles), with a minorly scuffed piston, losing no comp. I noticed a slight antifreeze leak at the beginning of the season, but she's getting pretty bad now.

Your learning what I learned a long time ago. Fix 'em and ride 'em, ride 'em and fix 'em.

Did you check your glycol bearings-both of em. They tend to go bad after a while.

Indy........when you decide you want to be a snowmobile mechanic, just take your sled to the interview with you, and show em proof of your training.:)

Mebbe.....but so far I've got more riding time into mine than fixing time -- and most of the fixing time has just been routine maintenance. (knock on wood) :)

Well you can't blame the studs this time. :D

Nor the Sea & Snow. :D

All funnin' aside -- good luck with your repair, Indy. Hope you're back in the saddle soon!

Is it possible that the engine sitting with no antifreeze for 4 months dried up the gaskets and made them not seal up when I filled er back up?

or better yet get a good job buy new. work on them for fun and power and performance.then sell them before they start to get wore out and need constant maintnance. and go buy new again 3yr max.or 30yr old min

also you kids dont even know about sled repairs.when I was a kid it was non stop repairs before during and after every ride.cant think of very many rides in the 70s with the club or fam that did not require some kind of trail repair.
