Thanks for the reply 440_chazz!
While I did not watch the pre-storm media hype (kinda had our own snow situation going on up here!), from some of the posts on the board and FB I got the feeling that there might be some that were disappointed in the results.
I have no problems taking my lumps when I am wrong. I don't enjoy it, but will reap what I sow. One of my biggest fears is being grouped into all the other forecasts and then being called wrong when that was not really the case. Unfortunately, I think that when it comes to the media, the powers at the top do not care as much about accuracy as they do presentation. I think shelby369 is on the right track with his thinking.
Anyway, I appreciate your input and will also appreciate any other input. I am being 100% truthful when I say I want to make sure that my forecasts are taken for what they are and not others. For better or worse!

Don't sweat it John. The TRUST in those that BELIEVE in YOU is much GREATER than those who don't. Someone was basically venting on you from all the built up hype so don't take it personally. If folks don't tone down expectations then they'll be disappointed each time it snows. As passionate as we all are for sledding we ALWAYS want the upper end of the forecasted amounts to come true so we can ride. But again, we have to stay in check to reality that it might not come to fruition. I myself am happy we have snow in December for once as Christmas in the midwest is just not the same without snow!
Again, don't sweat it.....
