No One Excited About JD Xmas Forecast?

I have turned many people on to you for accurate snow reports. We all appreciate how difficult it is to have accuracy with something that is nearly impossible to nail down 100%. I can't count the number of times people have said to me "wow that John Dee really is the most reliable snowcaster." That makes me smile not because I like to tell people "I told you so," but because now they can stop buggin me for the info!!! Keep up the great work my friend.

It is helps so much to have great snow forecasts. Some of my group drive quite a bit just to get up there. Their 400-500 mile drive between the group would be a killer without knowing about having snow.

Thank You John for all the work.

I know.....and all this will make a great base to last into may.....again

PS...john he was referring to mother nature....not your forecasts....of which.....your really good at IMO....you still sell them to tom skilling or can you even say? this is how I found you....LOL

You are correct, not blaming John. Just disappointing. i like to do a few tune up rides before out trip in Jan. check out new equipment and test repairs. last year was brutal. looks like i will be hitting the lakes Thursday.

A pat on the back needs to go out to everyone for keeping this threat PG rated! I know it was l could do to keep the write up in today's 5-10 day forecast PG rated!
Let me know if you want to hit some untracked slush next week. It's going to be sweet.

Today looks better than yesterday. My riding area, MN North Shore moved to pink now. Plan to head up next Monday for the whole week, let it snow!

I am excited. Part of me feels bad for the fact that for me to get a big snowstorm usually means melting temps and rain for most on here. But, its been a long time since I have had a mid winter snowstorm with the possibility of 12+ inches. Normally big storms like that are november or march storms that go to waste by melting within a week.

That being said, the forecasts and weather models can put me in the 12"+ possible category all they want, it doesn't matter until its on the ground.

Grooming over there yet Crossfire?

I would think they could start grooming now with the 3" fresh snow today. I think there should be enough frost in the swamps with the wind and -25f last week. The early season grooming has never been the best around here, so time will tell. Surrounding areas seem to always be on there second groomer pass when ours is making its first.

I saw something interesting today on the Grand Forks NWS site today, they said that the Fargo area could receive between 1 and 17 inches from this storm. Sounds like they are trying to cover their a$$
