Would love to hear if anyone knows anything about 11N

Rode 11N Last year in January...
Was the only GOOD trail out there. Lake was slushy - trails were slushy...

We came down out of the porcupines and took 11n as a wide run around... it was Flat, Smooth and hardly ridden! Was the best section of trail we saw all weekend long!

As for this year... can't help you... lol

That was trail 11 you are talking about (I think). Coming down from out of porkies is trail 11 went for 25 miles then ended where 11N starts. Now it only goes to 102. I don't think 11N was groomed at all last year. 11 is a notorious flat and wide trail and will be for many years to come!

That above is a crying shame. But enough about 11n or 11s that is not part of this thread.
11 is and thanks to some more snow im going to go groom 11 tonight because I care about it so much and I am addicted to running my 400hp machine through the woods at night laying down an awesome flat trail.

I groomed down over a foot of powder again on trail 11, at this spot there is 8" of a solid base

Is Trail 120 groomed from the Hoop up to South Boundry Road? How about Trail 1 from Silver City back to Bergland?

Sorry, I meant Trail 102, not 120.

If anyone has any information on the trails surrounding porkies, silver city etc I would love to hear it. Staying at the adventure in mass city, but have run the trail 3 stretch of good trails enough that I'm wanting to head towards lake of the clouds, and trail 11 south from there. Even if I have to trailer to silver city or Bergland I would do that and find a room over there. Hoping to stay up here through Tuesday morning, and need to find more than trail 3 stretch to make that happen. Thanks for any input!

Hi Rick.
We will still be using the M64 bridge this year, they are currently working on the old r.r. bridge. I am hoping we can use it next winter.
We need more snow! South Boundry has 2-6" base, all else is maybe 2" base:(
Grooming will resume when snow falls.

Thanks Randy,

Like the picture of 11...doesn't look as wide as you usually have it...lol
Happy New Year to y'all in White Pine and Konteka.....see ya next month and praying for more snow!!!!

Trail 11 excellent
Trail 1 from ski hill to Lake of the Clouds is good
Trail 1 through silver city to white pine is poor
12 from white pine to Ontonagon is poor
12 from Ontonagon to Greenland is poor
137 from Ontonagon to Rockland is poor to good

I'm staying in Mercer wanna get to Silver City tomorrow. I made it up to Bessemer tonight but guy at American eagle bar said that trail 8 east of Wakefield got real wet. Anyone know if it is passable? I guess other option could be trail 2 to Marenisco then up trail 1 along lake gogebic. Anyone been out this way to see the trail conditions? Any info would be great. Otherwise I guess I can investigate tomorrow.

Thanx

Upgrade..1 from ski hill to lake of clouds is excellent, just returned from grooming it and it is double wide awesomeness. I wanted to groom 11 but my machine has some issues and want to make sure its cleared to run that far. Hopefully tomorrow.

ryanslyne..I can only speak for my clubs area and saying that all of our ditch trails are sloppy we need another foot to make them nice. Expect to get your machine muddy but it is passable. My advice to anyone right now who wants to get to lake of the clouds or trail 11 is to trailer to a nearby establishment or to south boundry road and unload.

Thanks for your input to this thread and work into the trails ranlam! I ended up driving home a couple days ago from mass city because this gigantic mammoth storm called "goliath" was going to be pounding the area around home... Ya it worked out about as well as daddy Dave's nova he built called goliath, total bust. (Street outlaws reference, Google goliath crash) but anyways, the fiancée and I are heading back up tomorrow! Staying at Peppermill rentals in Rockland, and we got engaged up on Lake of the clouds last year on Jan 16th...so I would love to make it back there riding out of Rockland if at all possible! I know things may not be great on side trails, but as long as she doesn't have to water skip small ponds to get there, we can deal with some low snow areas. But last year we rode out of hurley, up 11(I think, it went thru ski resorts and turned into a road for miles that was amazing ) to lake of the clouds, into silver city, down to the hoop n holler and back to hurley. It was a flat out amazing day, but with where we are staying this year I am not familiar enough with the area or trails from Rockland to make it there. If there is any way you think we could make it there, and a suggested route I would love to hear it. Thanks again for everything you do!
