Congratulatios Nate!
Not sure why, but I haven't gotten fired up enough to get my sleds ready to go yet. I bought a different one and got one sold already. All this snow, sure made it easy to sell a sled.
I also bought a big arse snow blower Saturday morning, on the early end of the big storm we had. Wow, what perfect timing. I was quoted a price the day before that I just couldn't pass up. After almost 30 years with a 5 hp Montgomery Ward machine and upgrading to a 342 CC (about 11.5 hp) Ariens, man did I have fun blowing snow this weekend. I can't believe how far that thing blows snow, all the way across the 20 ft driveway and down over the hill. I even got to help out a couple neighbors and took a few passes on my side or our road before the plow came through. Not as fun as riding, but still fun in the snow.

Whew, I haven't posted on here for a while! I'm not sure why, but maybe it is partly because I have a lot on my mind lately. All I know is that my sled started the other day and it ran fine, so I am ready to ride. Now I just need to find some time and some good snow to ride in. The trails near my house opened on Monday and then were closed on Wednesday. Apparently a couple of the landowners were not happy because people were going off the trail on their land. The wind had blown the snow off of some areas and people were going off trail to find snow to ride in. I had a feeling the trails would be bare in spots because the winds from our last snowstorm were just nasty. We got enough snow to ride in, but the winds killed the conditions. It doesn't make for good riding.
Nate - congrats on the firefighter certification. Good luck on the next part. Those two storys in your post were crazy!
Drifty - I'm glad all went well with your knee surgery. Hopefully you will have better luck with the drugs than I did after my knee surgery. I had a very unpleasant side effect from them and I won't elaborate.

Scoop, lot's of snow here to ride on, too bad my sleds in MI!!! Better be getting it's new track next week and ready for New Years at the Running Bear or someone's in big big trouble!!

HAHA speaking of the Ride IN - I had forgotten to register us. So I rush out there the other day to do it. I wasn't paying attention and I signed Eric and I up for 2 size Extra Small tshirts! DOH!
So I quickly sent off an email to both John's begging that they change the sizes!
Oh boy - I'm such a dork!
Mom and Dad are on their way up from TN - hopefully the weather will cooperate with them. They should be arriving sometime tomorrow...... Can't wit to see their face when they see all the snow! LOL
Since i'm back to feeling well - it's bowling tonight! YEAH! Missed the last 2 weeks and cna't wait to get back to it! Later peeps - gotta finish up some work yet.....
