We had about a half an inch before it turned to rain today.
Just looks like winter is going to skip us here this year.

Belated Merry Christmas to everyone. I spent Christmas in Chicago with family, but it was good to get back home yesterday.
I want to thank Guy, Scott, Ali, K-boo and Squat (and their kids) for helping me celebrate my birthday. A special thanks goes to Guy who got everyone together. I had a great time and it is the first time I have been out to celebrate my birthday in a long time. There are great people in this family and I am thankful I met you all on this board.
I am planning to completely veg out the next few days as I am on vacation between Christmas and New Years. I am loving it. I don't have to go back until Jan. 3. Yippee!
The lack of snow is really bumming me out. Maybe I'll try ice skating tomorrow. The neighborhood kids were skating on the pond behind my house today. On the other hand, we are supposed to get an inch or two of wet, slushy snow tonight so skating may be out. Oh well, so far this is turning out to be a real sucky winter. I sure hope that the new year brings some winter weather with lots of snow.

Well Big Bro we got rain going on here, had to have 600.00 worth of crushed stone put in the driveway it was a mud pit, so there goes one trip to the UP, we got so much water down here we're about to float away looks like mid-march after the snow melt don't know what we're gonna do in the spring, sure wish it was snow.

Hello JD family, belated Christmas wishes to all and a Happy New Year to all also! We are up north, road yesterday, not the best trails but not the worst either. Was nice to be out! Probably not hitting the trails today, we will wait for more snow and less bumps, getting spoiled in our old age. Just registerd for the Ride In! Who all will be going? Can't believe I am sitting in our camp and I have internet, thank you to whatever neighbor has it and I can use it!

Geeze it's windy out there. My house is making weird moaning noises from the wind. We got a boring inch or two of snow. It looks like the U.P. is going to get some good snowfall. I wish I were there. I love winter storms, especially in da U.P.! I really miss it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Today the sun is shining, but it's a bit on the CHILLY side! The "snow" we got New Year's Eve was about 1 1/4" very heavy wet plopping snow which quickly turned to ice.
We stayed home NYE and watched Levi LaVallee do his big jump - that was soooooo cool!
I hope 2012 is great for EVERYONE!!!
Now, please... can we have some real snow? I'm totally jealous of the snow all around me...

Thats Murphys law Brad! Sounds like my luck.We barely have enough snow here to cover the grass also and possible mid 40s by wednesday and thursday.Wierd weather for sure!
