All of us old guys grew up doing this as a family sport....and we had the "family" feeling out riding with friends and club members...that has disappeared....it's become a rich person, spoiled kid sport (there are 16 year old kids riding newer, nicer sleds than I have)...unfortunately snowmobiling isn't affordable for the average family anymore...it's too expensive, and it's why Yamaha is gone, and Cat is teetering on the edge...it's a dying sport.....well...enough of the doom and gloom...I'm going to head out and ride the next three days and enjoy what's left of our season...it's most likely done come Monday....so get out and ride if you can

Doesn’t the blame fall on the manufacturer?

Enjoy your weekend Attak, I’m 68 and can definitely understand where you’re coming from. I’m not that active in our club up here because I’ve had so many things happening but the last club I was in it was always the same group of guys that did all the work, I’m sure it’s the same everywhere. I’m lucky that I can ride during the week so I can ride in relatively nice conditions but not everyone can do that and they have to put up with the entitled (not saying anyone on JD is entitled, great group of people, hope to continue to meet more of you). It will be the last weekend as I look at the forecast, I’ll be doing ice fishing until it gets to unsafe. Then, I’ve got a lot of spring time work to do. More to come on that. Enjoy your weekend everyone! Here’s a pic a of my little buddy! He makes my life the best. IMG_2642.jpeg

100 percent...making bigger, faster more expensive machines, and forgetting about the low cost, family machines...now all of them reintroduced low end models in the last 5 years.....but they arent selling well...and imo it's too late...we skipped an entire generation of potential riders...lost for good

I believe you are correct. I do actually know a younger guy that did get a Neo(I think that’s what it’s called) was refreshing to hear he did what it took to get/stay in the sport!
