Is this a Yamaha or a cat thread? It's hard to tell. LOL

I think poo people want a Poo 4s trail sled so 1st OEM that comes to mind is Yam for comparo. I don't think it will happen poo not interested in 4s market right now could change in future but all Indy 2s & powder 2s sleds for now. Good offerings for now so will wait until cow drys up. IMO :)

If you could put my previous 2011 Apex motor in my current 2013 switchback chassis, holy cow!! I'm not sure you would ever be able to keep the skis on the ground. The weight of the motor would probably keep the front and down though. The apex motor is as instant power as you can get. But that switchback chassis is one of the most fun sleds I've ever had.

Too much of an issue is made about weight...the average trail joe doesn't need to worry about weight...especially with EPS....and BTW...the weights I saw... had the Viper 25 lbs lighter than the Nytro...which puts it right there with ski-doo's 1200 (ski-doo claims 499..supertrax says 520 dry).....If you are an aggressive rider..or ride off trail (deep snow)...then weight definately matters...again...too much is made of weight...go ride an eps equiped vector and tell me how heavy it "feels".

Polaris is sticking with 2 strokes...which is fine...don't you think having a heavier four stroke.... sorta defeats the purpose of the rush??? Now if they came with a 4 stroke or 4 stroke turbo in the INDY....I could see that...but not in the RMK or RUSH....The unfortunate thing is...I see alot of older guys riding rushes...that quite frankly don't ride hard enough to appreciate the suspension..but they want the "latest and greatest" from polaris...so they buy a rush.....and really...they are a cold ride...especially for us older fellows....I can see those guys happier on an ace 900..or a vector...but they don't want to be labeled "old guy trail clogger"...lol

Pride stops people from buying what they really need or can use....think about how many guys buy x package sleds, because they are cool looking....and about mid season...the suspension is too stiff...and it's "a cold ride with the low windshield"....SMH.

I though Polaris...with their involvement with KTM would have had a couple of decent trail rider 4 strokes by now....I can see an indy with a four stroke....but not a rush. Half of the FAT fellows in Illinois would be riding them..just like the XLT's in the early 90's..seriously...how many "LARGE" fellows did u see on Polaris's with illinois stickers back in the 90's....Lmao!!!.. (j/k...gotta pick on my FIB friends)

I know a lot of old guys that ride pro-rides and mxzx's that ride really hard. Not everybody wants a heavy sled get over it. everybody on JD knows what you ride and how great you feel they are( you tell us in every post ).

I am old, fat and riding my second 800 Pro R switch. I live in the city that recorded the lowest temperature in the US east of the of the Rockies. Up until your post about old guys that shouldn’t ride Rushes, I thought I was pretty happy with my Switch. Between the 2 of them I only have 5000 miles, I just might not have enough seat time yet to dislike them.

A lot of what attak man posts is TIC but he knows by seat his pants that Yamaha weight is wayyyyyyy over blown as far as sled handling & don't let that get in the way of test riding a Yamaha you just might like it a lot. To me the X packages are the way to go for old or young guys gives you lots of adjustments to tweak your ride & I like getting the most out stock stuff.

"pride" was what kept me on multiple yamahas over 17 years. 4 different 4 strokes. Finally i told "pride" to quit "f:;-/n" with me and bought the type of sled i really wanted. New yamis, well, not really new, are out. So now im anxious to see what doo and poo come out with. I like my poo. 600 is fun. Sled is playful. Its cold at times. Like when its below 0 but its winter. Its gonna be cold. Really my hands are all that get cold
But thats on any sled for me when its sub zero.

Why does every polaris thread turn into buy a yamaha 4s? I dont get it. I Ride a pro r and love it but you yammi guys jump in every post and try to sell your tanks to rest of the snowmobilers out there.

And yet people give PR1 a hard time about polaris.

BTW ....why was the Polaris sneak peak....on doo talk.....and if u read my post....I mentioned ktm and 4 strokes...in reference to Polaris not having a four stroke in their line up...I think I was right in saying u will never see a 4 stroke Rush....in the Indy ...why not?? Y.but...yet again....if anybody uses Yamaha as a reference point in a conversation about four strokes...you guys flip out....jeeze....lol

Pretty sure I injected the Y word that got the hackles raised, but if you go back and read or reread my post you'll see I wasn't pushing yamahas on anyone, except to say they are heavier than a poo 2 stroke and I couldn't understand why the poo faithful would clamor for a 4 stroke when Yamaha makes a great one already and if "Yamaha" on the sticker turns you off, that is your problem....not the Yamaha owners who happen to love there sleds for what they were built for, much like the poo faithful liking there purpose built sleds.
