Poos Problems

My poo600 has run flawless since the day I bought it, 2008

600 is a good motor, there have been a few go down but nothing unusual, the 800 is the motor in question. I'd run a Briggs & Stratton in a poo chassis before i own a 09 800

Hey!
I owned one. It burned down from rocks and dirt being sucked in and seizing a piston!
Ran great before that! Almost as good as the 600 carb I have now!

I can't believe you guys are still at it!

To me it is bashing, nothing different then the post on the UP business with the poor guy on the dock, then a business bash over a drunk woman?. Polaris has had no chance to give their side. This entire thread has been about bashing a sled company. To me it is a rule breaker. Maybe we should forward this thread to Polaris and see what their lawyers have to say. Bye Bye JDee is what I am thinking with a court order. Oh did I mention, no engine issues here! :)

Must be true, it is on this site after all. No fixes needed at this time. Full report if anything happens. Skylar rides the same sled, so I expect a report from him too.

Not true. I knew of issues coming our way in Poo. That's why I went to a 600 in 05, totally avoided the Fusion with a 06 Skidoo Renegade, danced my way thru for 3 years with my 07 755RMK and then with much research went to the 2012 800 RMK Pro. The Pro has two winters on it and I pound it pretty good. Not even a hick up. It had a minor service bulletin item and a new battery for the e start. That's it.

I am not in denial to any issues with Poo and some of their motors. I am stating that, "I personally have not had any issues."

I also know of others in here with 700 Ultras, 800 Storms, 600 mono blocks, 900 Fusions and other so called "Junk" who have had no issues or very little. The 09 or 10 800 that Dave B. had we thought was bullet proof to. Not so.

Like I stated many times in here Lenny, If and when my engine goes all of you will be first to know. I will put it on within minutes of it happening. My phone can do that, (it is a Motorola Droid Razor with Verizon service) I have signal.

Again, I do realize the frustration those in here have when their sled breaks down. It sucks.

I have pulled way more Doo 800R's back to camp then any other sled. Yamaha's we just leave for the buzzards, unless you pay for a new belt for me.

Your right, A multi Billion dollar operation such as Polaris would only laugh at this Fly speck on the internet.
but, John lets it be all our fly speck when played by the rules. I thank him for that.

You also have to admit that drama on this site brings the boys back over and over and adds to the "hits" counter and that's what the advertisers want. Views= income. John makes a little coin, gets free labor with the mods, fills the summer time lull.

Skylar, as far as the membership list, how many of the 17,400 are active? 400? less? Don't let your head swell little buddy all your air is in your chest. hahahahaha! I understand the "Factory" mentality, been there.

This is exactly the problem & WHY posters say your are brand blind. All those sleds are proven boat anchors very problematic sleds. Just because you know someone that didn't have a problem it does not discount all those owners that did have problems. I visited the Poo both at Lake Geneva back with the Fusion 900 & 755 there were so many pissed off peeps that dealers & factory reps left the booth. I didn't know how bad things were thought the Fusion looked pretty cool with Rider Select but owners just outraged with poo engine problems. All I could say at the the time is "WOW" this is not good got to be careful with poo engines so different from the 90s engines.

That is why I listed those sleds. The rider select was the first thingI removed on my 755. A guy on Snowest makes kits for that. Keep in mind that ALL brands have issues. Poo just does a horrible job in taking care of them (for some). I lay a lot of the blame on the dealers. I have 2 fantastic dealers I buy from (neither advertise here). But those who have dealers that don't go to bat for their customers are of little use and get there just rewards in the end. My dealer in Baldwin warranted a Battery and a belt with 1000 miles on it.

Keep in mind people bought AMC products (former car company based on junk and hand me down parts) and that did not make it right, but they sure could market some ugly cars.

If your not happy with Polaris right them a letter, Demand your dealer to stand up, it will get you farther then whinning here. (note: this is a blanket statement not directed to anyone but to all).
