Pre Xmas and Xmas Week Forecast Looks Good!

You can hope for all you want, but you have as much control over it as the next guy - NONE.

That doesn't mean I don't like seeing your forecast graphics, just have to take it for what it is.

I agree - no control. But the most important part right now, we have snow to at least talk about. Hoping I don't need to trailer, but if I do, it looks like it would be under a 2.5 hour drive in any direction. If the snow hits the Fox Valley area, I drive out my door. If north of there, have a hotel booked already. If NW of there, stay at my buddies cabin on the willow flowage in Onieda co. All good options.

And........we are all not trying to cram in the UP for a change. Bring on the SNOW!

How much snow would it take to get the Fox Valley areas into ride-able conditions? My brother in law lives in Green Bay and said they got decent snow last Wednesday. I'm sure levels went down with the warmer temps though.

Green Bay currently has 3x the amount of snow appleton has. Green bay area would need 6-8" imo. Appleton 10-12". Swamps are still definitely soft.

I am half hour south of lacrosse and the weather service just emailed. Another disappointment...

Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected from Thursday through Friday. A light glaze of ice is also possible due to freezing drizzle. Travel will be slippery at times including the Thursday evening commute.

Bitter cold Arctic air invades the area this weekend with highs by Christmas Day only in the single digits below and above zero along with wind chills of 10 to 25 below zero.

Yup keeps getting down graded. What started out at 3-6 in SE Wis this morning is now possibly an inch. Down to bare ground today after 45 and sun today.
Starting from scratch.

Pre Christmas forecast was looking good until this morning, the central part of Wisconsin that was supposed to get hit the hardest...upwards of over a foot according to snowfall projections now looks less than 6", I will still wait and see for myself but what happened to this monster snow they were talking so highly about just 12 hours ago, not looking like a lot of help for the state as it originally looked but we will see

I am generally the same, in to work at 7:30 AM and out at 5:30 PM; no sun. Luckily, I was invited to a Christmas lunch off campus and saw the sad news.
Back to cold today (14 degrees) but bare spots here and there.

Well on the bright side some snow will fall and then sub zero is behind the snow no matter what we get. Vilas lakes are not safe need the deep freeze.
