I saw this on another site that I frequent and thought we could try it here.
With new people joining all the time I thought we could take a minute and share a little about ourselves.
My name is Jon and I live a little south of Marathon City,Wi with my lovely wife and 2 boys (almost 6 and 8 yrs. old). We will be married 10 years this September. I drive an off road haul truck in a rock quarry for a living. I have been on sleds my entire life. Started with Scorpions and now have been with Cats since '91, although I would still drive Scorpion if they still made them. I have been a club member my entire life and I am an area rep for our county snowmobile association. Have been visiting the U.P. since '88 and love it there, hope to at least have a weekend home/cabin some day. I don't ride enough these days, but hope that will change as the boys get a little older. I have had the pleasure to meet a bunch of great people from this site, and hope to meet more in the future. The Ride-In and fall trail work session are great for that. My wife and I volunteer some time at a local retreat center, which we get a great deal of satisfaction from, it is a wonderful place. I would recommend it to anyone looking to really get away from day to day worries and just find some peace fo a weekend. We enjoy camping in the summer, and especially in the fall. Also have some family on this site, hamburgchf is my dad and ACZR is my nephew.
I am also a strong defender of the people and volunteers that make our trails possible. I have a very hard time sitting back and listening to complaints about trails, grooming, etc. without saying something. Sometimes that gets me in a more heated topic than I would care to get.
There a ton of great people on this site. So if you are willing to share, tell us a little about you.
