My name is Steve and I have worked at the same place since 1976. I rode my first snowmobile in 1964 and have ridden every year since then. My dad was president of Viking Snowmobiles from 1966 to 1976, I worked at a resort in NW MN as a snowmobile guide in 72 and 73, I was a Polaris dealer from 1989 to 2001, was on their national dealer council in 1994 and 1995, and am currently on my 6th year (not concurrently) as president of the Red River Snowmobile Club which is a dual state club (ND and MN). I grew up in MN and moved to ND in 1975, it was only a 3 mile move, but it is a different state. I am married with a son and a daughter, and I have sold boats for 36 years. In the early 80's I wrestled Victor the rasslin bear at some boat shows so that is where my screen name came from.

A friend of mine wrestled that same bear at a boat show about the same time, I tried to find the picture...too funny

I'm highly disappointed in "skylar" for not bring up what he is most noted for on this sight by us long time members. He "skylartized the site not once, but twice! HA ha

Hi my name is Lori,I'm probably the only Yooper of Hawaiian decent. I hate hot weather and probably the only Hawaiian that doesn't know how to swim, so I'm not found of water, love to look at it though.I've been lucky enough to be able to stay in the area where I grew up, actually just a few blocks away (the trailer court in South Range was one of my homes) I love anything with a motor that stays on land, love cars/trucks (took a auto mech. class while getting my GED) jet skies & boats are ok, planes are not for me. I love animals and would own a zoo if I had time and money. Would love to have a pet black bear , bobcat, and a skunk, oh the list could go on.I love to cook,& bake as well as eat. I try to make a living as a Artist, I paint on anything, my most noted is on occation I get to paint NBA, NCAA basketball floors and the I did the Olympic floor that went to China. I do home and vechile murals, acrylic and oil paintings, now just mostly commision work, used to travel to art shows.I teach clases work, as a waitress a few nights a week. Dabble in home interior decorating as well as floral arrangements and cake decorating. My 2 favorite seasons are fall and winter though I love to be in a garden, love to play in the dirt. Actually spent several years mud racing. I talked my husband David into building " my dream" the resort we call Wildlife Refuge Cabins,it has become a dream come true, but has changed our lives forever. Some bad but mostly good,as 1 example this web site and getting to meet John, Nora and Gracie as well as the pups. Getting involved with them and the Make a Wish project, has been fun. Getting to meet many people from this site and making friendships for life I hope. It's a lot of work and does take away from what we enjoy, but we are lucky enough to be able to actually enjoy on occation to UTV, snowmobile, get into the woods, head out of town to the NHRA races, and Hay Days & visit out of town friends. We built our home 1 block away from Dave's parents home which we hope to finish someday, have a cool cabin in "da woods", 1 daughter 1 grandson and son in law. I love to be with and meet people so this business suits my love for the outdoor life, being around people and being able to live here in God's Country. Being able to walk out my front door and experiance what so many of you folks work all year for, to come and vacation here ,I am grateful I get to do it everyday, I'm also glad so many of you choose to come to our area and want to vacation here as well as live here, thanks for contributing to our economy no matter were you stay and what you enjoy thanks for coming. That's a little part of me.

Hi, my name is Troy. Picked up the Elf nickname back in college due to bringing back some elf pop (remember that stuff?) from a trip back home. Grew up in Northern WI. Went to college at UM-Duluth and UW-River Falls. Finished up with a Masters from University of St Thomas. Just loved going to school!!! Worked for a while with Polaris at the plant in Osceola, Now work in Duluth MN as the plant manager in a facility building tall reach bucket trucks.

Started snowmobiling when I was 2-3 yrs old (now 44) with my parents. My dad was one of the driving forces in setting up the trail system in Burnett County in the late 60's when he was the UW extension agent there. I remember spending nights in the groomer with my dad at 4-5 yrs old. Been married to my wife, Jacki, for 13 yrs now, we have 2 kids, age 9 & 11, who have been snowmobiling with us since they were 2 & 3. Started them in a Equinox Sno Coach and now this fall my daughter will be riding on her own. We used to vacation on MN north shore and snowmobile up there all the time so about 6 yrs ago we bought land and built our cabin in Finland, MN. We are up there most every weekend in the winter. Its my favorite place to be in the world! Been on John Dee since the late 90's, love the site.

Here is my gig. .
I decided to "play house" with a nice girl I met and 17 years and 3 kids later,

I love this statement.... I remember way back I had the same idea ! Wouldn't trade the experience for the world. Some how she still puts up with my " jeckle & hyde " adult-ADD or what ever you call it personality... You know , I can be "sweeter than pie" when it comes time to Purchase a new snow-machine ..... LOL

My name is Sue

Born, raised in Waterloo IA, lived there 49 years, worked as a bartender most my single life. Also worked as a road constuction worker and parts delivery driver. Married 18 1/2 years to my 2nd hubby. Retired in 07, moved to Iron River WI 5 years ago and built our dream home on 10 acres of wooded land outside of town, on the trail. Started sleddding and atving in the late 90's, made many trips up here so decided it was the place to be. Spend my lazy days volunteering around town, helping out doing things for our elderly friends, usually get paid in beer for that. I have a true passion for dobermans, now doing volunteer work in rescue. Love it here but miss my IA people. Wouldn't change a thing, unless I win the lotto. Only been on this sight a couple years now, amazing people here, glad I found it.
