I have a 2010 Ski-doo backcountry x with a 4 inch stock riser on it. Thinking about buying an 8" riser...will I need cable extensions?

06MXZ - Your fine. I swapped my stock 8 inch on the 09 Summit to a 10" with no problem. I don't see why you'd have less slack.

sledjunkie - I've got an 04 renegade also. Went from stock to 6" Pivot PowerMadd setup. Had to buy the Summit break cable, but was able to keep/route the stock throttle cable.

Just put on the riser and the brake cable is a little tight and I am not seeing an alternative route to give me extra slack...Any input guys?

clip the cable ties holding the brake cable. There are usually 3 of them. That will give you all you need right there. Instead of leaving all your cables flop you can re-tie the rest of them.
