Ski-Doo recently announced several driveline changes for their 2018 models. Changes to these 2018 models include;
* Finned fixed pDrive sheave – (improved heat dissipation and cooling)
* Revised CVT Calibration – (improved belt traction, less heat generation)
* New drive belt – (longer lasting, better heat resistance)
* New gearing (Summit and Freeride only) – (improved performance, better efficiency)
* Revised PTO and MAG engine mounts – (reduce engine movement, improved alignment)
* Better cooling in CVT compartment – (reduced clutch and belt temperatures)
* New Clutch cover and improved air flow – (reduced clutch and belt temperatures)
These changes should result in the drive belt operating temperatures dropping between 15 – 40 degrees C (27-72 degrees F).
