I get more guys stopping to talk to me when I am out on the 64 c200. bet I have had over 200 guys tell me story's of when they were a kid and he or his brother or dad got a new honda.
btw I had a 73 Harley with same every thing as above when I was a kid.
gramps sold it to my cuz in 79 and got me a atc 110. my cuz still has the mini bike
BTW if any one knows of a 62cr110 or cb92 that needs a home or to be put back to life think of me

You have no idea, Milwaukee has been nuts since Wednesday. Biggest thing that ticked me off was the police escorts and closing of intersections for a half hour at a time for 8000 bikes to go on a joy ride through the city. Really?
Now don't me wrong, I like bikes, they are beautiful machines just like sleds. But in masses like this weekend, it does remind me of that South Park episode.
Yup, got a neighbor that insists on gunning it through the neighborhood at 5am as well. I've learned his schedule, he will get his own wake up call one of these days.

It was definitely nuts this weekend in SE Wisconsin. All the motels were filled with bikers. Even 45 minutes from Milwaukee. I pulled into a local gas station and all the pumps were lined up with bikes. Kinda like up north is with sleds.
But on the plus side, even though most of the HDs I saw had the stereotypical loud exhausts, I'm starting to see more and more Harley folk leaving their stock exhausts on. Maybe its the start of a new trend? I even had HD guys waving at me on my Honda.

Doesn't really matter if it's a Motorcycle, snowmobile, boat… It's common sense and respect. I've got aftermarket exhaust on both my snowmobile and motorcycle, neither are obnoxious IMO, but I also use common sense and respect. I drive my motorcycle to work almost daily and when I leave my neighborhood I take off in a very respectable manner, same with the snowmobile. When i'm off trail in the middle of nowhere, i'm very throttle happy, but if on a trail going through someone's yard it's a different story. Yes, there seems to be a double standard when it comes to exhaust on motorcycles. I personally like the sound, but don't like the obnoxious guy on a motorcycle that is so loud it's ridiculous and he wants everybody to know it as he goes through town. I've also never understood the "Loud Pipes Save Lives" thing, but thats just me. The sound is mainly behind you.

Yes i'm sure there are people annoyed, but everywhere I went this weekend people were amazed at all the bikers and how they've traveled from all over the world to converge on Milwaukee. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of revenue that came into Milwaukee and surrounding areas over the last week. I was getting thumbs up and horns honked at me from people in cars. My motorcycle isn't even a Harley, but could pass for one (03' Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad).
Thats my .02, now it's time to start getting ready for winter, but i'll be riding my motorcycle as long as there's no salt on the road, no matter how cold…

just like sleds the aftermarket dealers have retooled what they sell....cant buy what you had years ago unless it made for track....the loudest bikes on the road are Yammis and honda.. the issue is some you dont know the diffrence from a 125 scooter to a HD...some punk kid with a polaris sticker in the back of his chevy pickup window has way louder pipes then most bikes!!! you know the one kid we all have 10 of them living in your town...oh wait now they like to buy diesel trucks and straight pipe them.....funny how Douchebags think all loud bikes are HD...kinda like how I think all kids with chevy pickups and loud pipes need their pants pulled up and black eye..
as for Milwaukee...I was their great time never met one person that was working who was mad about anything...police where great the bars where packed the beer was cold.....I do agree their is alot people on bikes trying to look the part BUT who cares what it to you? why does this bug you so bad? you do the same thing with sleds!!!sit here yapping all week only to sit in a bar all weekend telling everyone how cool you are wit your new polaris coat and klim bibs!!oh wait hurry and get the mohawk thing going!!you do know you look like a HUGE dikhead with the mohwak right?

i still ride a 85 honda shadow 700 sometimes that i bought in 87, hard to believe that 26 yrs ago I had to hide it from my parents, anyways, harley guys almost always give me the wave but my old eyes cant tell how many fingers are straight anymore lol
ive said for years that when my oldest who is 14 starts riding the honda ill get a harley, we'll see, i might have to wait for the little guy who is 5 to get old enough

I ride an old 83 Yammi Maxim 750. pretty quite, I like it that way.
Common sense when on something, or in, with loud pipes, problem is, most people do not have common sense. From what I have observed over the years, the more someone drinks, the less common sense they have.
I can understand a little bit the loud pipes save lives theory, but not when one is at a redlight, revving the crap out of their bike. More like, hey, look at me.
