Groomer Report,

It’s cold out, be cautious.

Trail #3 North to Rockland is in GOOD condition.

Trail #8 from Ewen to trail #3 South is in GOOD condition.

Trail #3 South from the railroad grade to the CC road is in GOOD condition.

Trail #8 from the trail #3 South intersection to Trout Creek is in EXCELLENT condition.

Trail #8 from Trout Greek to Sidnaw is in EXCELLENT condition.

Trail #8/15 from Sidnaw to the trail #109 intersection is in EXCELLENT condition.

Where it says “Base” , I am saying we have 22″ of snow on average out away from the trail. There is lots of variation in snow depth/thickness on the trails so there is no good way to report that.

*********STAY ON YOUR OWN SIDE OF THE TRAIL IN THE CORNERS***********

We are grooming nightly if the conditions allow.

Watch for the groomers, they take up most of the trail and have the right of way!

Please remove your helmets before entering a business.

Have a fun and safe trip!

We rode the Greenland/Sidnaw/Bruce Crossing/Rockland & back loop on Wednesday 1/14. It was in great shape. Even the plowed logging area east of Rousseau was not too bad. The Silver Mountain area north of Sidnaw is one of my favorites. Thanks to those who maintain this area!! Happy Trails.

Glad you had fun!

Make sure to thank the Thunder Riders club, as well. They take care of the southern part.

Post pics on our Facebook page and thanks for riding our trails!

What makes snowmobilers think it’s OK to take the inside on blind corners? Do you drive your car like that on the highway?

Please do not climb the “Military Hill” from the highway to the fence, we have ongoing erosion issues there and the hill climbers are adding to the problem.

We are grooming nightly if the conditions allow.

Watch for the groomers, they take up most of the trail and have the right of way!

Please remove your helmets before entering a business.

Have a fun and safe trip!

The trails are in need of some fresh snow, our snow in getting sugary and it doesn’t hold together real well. The riding is still good but could be better. The temps are supposed to drop and that should help firm up the trails some.

Hi Dave,

Again, thank you for your regular reports. This is one of my favorite areas. I'm trying to get a few more days of riding in with some friends early next week. Do you (and others) plan on a nightly grooming schedule into early March again?

We appreciate what you do! Happy Trails, Glenn

Hi Glenn

The club grooms nightly, as long as conditions allow, until the end of the season.
The Iron River club and Watersmeet club also groom on a regular basis so, you should find good trails troughout the entire area.

Have fun and ride safe!

Dave
