Snocross, Eagle River, WI

FYI
We continue to receive calls because of the weather in regards to racing this weekend. We have hauled almost 1000 tri-axle loads of snow and we are making snow almost every night. Yesterday the snow machines were going until noon. We have plenty of snow and the snocross races will run as planned. Noon-9PM on Friday and 9-9 on Saturday with all ages and classes running. Schd should be up on WCDC site & FB today. Tickets are cheaper if you purchase on-line. I expect they will start to layout the course Wed-Thurs.

Are the 2022 sleds going to be there? If they are can you see them without going to the races?

LG was the best track on the circuit for sure. I haven't been to it in a long time, but I believe I went every year for at least 10 years!

Yup. Souix Falls cancelled so we have the finally. Was told that one would be 3 days, but don't have a schd yet to confirm. Still hauling snow and ISOC now working on the track with 2 tractors. If you want a check it out go to WCDC Track Cam. Another FYI, I know Cat will be there with some 22's. Still waiting on others. As I understand it, [from a couple of dealers] there aren't many out there. Only for certain individuals and shows. And to answer hermie, everything is inside the gates.

ISOC now laying out the track. Will be much bigger than what it was in the infield as they are utilizing most of the half-mile oval. Still hauling and making snow. Yeah may have to go there ordered a part for my helmet and paid for it over a month ago. May need to go there and find out what's going on.

I was told SkiDoo,Polaris and Arctic Cat were going to have some of thier new 2022 sleds on display. Now i hear different reports does anybody know 100% for sure that they will have them there. THANK YOU

When i left yesterday morning, that was the plan. I can tell you Cat has their display there already, and I believe Trackside will have Doo's and Polaris but can't confirm yet. Will know tonight and post. What I'm hearing is 22's are scarce everywhere.

I am very happy with the new owners really stepping up quickly after they took over. With all the freedoms being taking away over the last year, great to see something coming back our way! Its pretty rare to see something positive, and I welcome it for sure! What a complete BLAST to the Eagle River area economy!

I talked last week with the manager and Trackside and they said that they will not be bringing any sleds over because they are not affiliated with the derby track. So i called the derby office and talked to young lady that all she knew about was that Ski Doo would have some 2022 sleds at the races.

Update: Cat and Yamaha are in the house. Skidoo will be here in the morning. Polaris is iffy, sorry. Track is in great shape, see WCDC Track Cam. Should be making more snow tonight. We have hauled over 1000 loads of snow so far. Pros in town and had a chance to make some rounds today and talk to racers and staff. Toured a couple of rigs. They are unbelievable with some having compete machine shops in them. Million $$$ rigs for sure. Everyone I talked to is excited to be here and many wondered why there have been no snocross races recently. Just hope we keep the venue and there is a good chance. For pics see WCDC FB and WCDC Track Cam. See you this weekend! Rev

Levi Lavallee has a couple 2022s with him so Polaris must be doing something? Really wish I could go, stupid knee surgery tomorrow! Been 10 years or so since I’ve been to a snocross race, used to be really really into it as a kid, back when snocross was in its prime in the early-mid 2000s.

wirev: Do you know when Ski Doo will be set up in the morning. Driving up 2.5 hours so i can be thier at 9 just to see the Doo's but have to leave right away to be back home by 1:30. THANKS.

Sorry, I don't know. Evidently the doos are coming from another vender and not Trackside, sorry. Also, I don't think there will be a very big selection of models. May not be what you are looking for. As I said earlier there seems to be very few 22's floating around. Also, as much as we'd like to have you here, admission and parking to to see a few sleds and not the racing seems a waste, JMHO. Come Saturday for the whole day. Racing from 10AM to 9 at night.

I was by his rig yesterday but it was all buttoned up, so I have no idea at this time. Also, don't know if he will be showcasing them. I know, at this time, there is no space reserved for them to be in the expo hall so if he did have them out, you'd have to purchase a pit pass to see them.
