Are nothing but money pits. LOL

Two sleds in my garage right now, my buds 05 900 with the engine out, waiting for new stator to arrive, it also needed 3 new motor mounts, and my sled, took the skid out today, I am replacing the track, and noticed my front torque arm is broke in two spots. :( Money money money money! LOL

I think the torque arm might have broke right after this pic. I might have to get an Assault someday?

It is certainly one expensive hobby....probably more of a borderline obsession for some people!

Boats by far. Great lakes boating is serious coin compared to sleds. Snowmobiles may be comparible to jet skis except riding sleds require more clothing. B.O.A.T. bring out another thousand. S.L.E.D. sometimes leave extra dollar. (My comparsion).

This is true until you are supporting 4 sleds. Everytime I see 1 of those pics like " skylar's " I feel his pain. I generally pay 2X's the price of the sled on maintenance & mods over the life of my ownership. We went on a jumping / picture taking campaign 3-4 years ago. ( excessively ) I may add, never the less at every opportunity or stop we would get the camera out and try to get a good shot. This requires several jumps, the 1 year we took over 300 pics. For the next 2 years ..... I was replacing parts constantly. When I see a jump pic , I say to my self..." that's why I buy new " ! I don't know how much I have spent so far this season, but I'm up early to order another " BOAT " load of parts . AND I havent even rode them yet. I thought BOAT stood for " BUST OUT ANOTHER THOUSAND " LOL....
I think that boats & sleds are cumbersome but what else would I do ? GOLF ???? Not for me. Nothing against golfers.....

Now's the time to get them right! Just went completely through my 136" M-10, found lots of little things that needed attention, including both rails cracked..... A little TIG, a few bearings, and lots of grease, good to go!

Boats are just a little more expensive. I could have 4 sleds for the price of one boat and that's a lot less than a lot of guys pay. None are cheap.

We should all take up golf

I remember the days of family riding. Four sleds, couple back ups for when the kids crashed, enclosed trailer, 3/4 ton. Suburban and gas, gear, ins. Etc.etc. boating is stll more money if you slip and heated store your lake Mi.boat. That is why I live on the boat as much as possible. Fun just costs a lot. Golf no way.
