I have at least 800 into my sled this year... oh how i wish i could buy brand new...

track + tax - 400
belt - 85
jets - 25
bearings - 20
clutch puller - 40
clutch spring - 35
exhaust manifold gaskets - 25
rear shock - 100 (traded in crap one for new used one)
slides - 25
chaincase gear - 5
chaincase seal - 10
chaincase oil - 10
grab strap - 5
nuts and bolts - 10
lubricants/loctite/paint etc. - 20

and this don't include the windshield, mirrors, handguards, handlebars, handlebar riser, and ski's since i had those prior to getting my sled.

and my motor may not make it thru this winter so that'll be at least $200 if not more since she's sittin at 5k miles and i normally put on 3k a year. Normally, i have a back up sled. i managed to put on 2000-2500 last year with all my problems, i needed 3 back up sleds last year! lol

Are nothing but money pits. LOL

Two sleds in my garage right now, my buds 05 900 with the engine out, waiting for new stator to arrive, it also needed 3 new motor mounts, and my sled, took the skid out today, I am replacing the track, and noticed my front torque arm is broke in two spots. :( Money money money money! LOL

I think the torque arm might have broke right after this pic. I might have to get an Assault someday?

Hey I tell you what Skylar, I have a '11 800 Assault Switchback 144 in limited black and orange that needs a good home...

Always thought ATV's were a lot cheaper than Sleds until my Daughter tried to pull a Pickup out of a Mud Hole and Twisted off the Crankshaft end. Nothing $2000 won't fix.

You guys are killing me, I am stuck in Florida, have a boat, slip for free, do all my own wrenching, and spend plenty on upgrades. Dive and fishing gear is expensive [bait can be 100.00 plus], the dive gear all needs to be re-certified 1x per year, about the cost of a new belt. x3 sets. 60 gallon gas tank to fill. The only same cost and problems, is the trailer, still the salt issues. Want to go to the Keys? 300 mile plus round trip, still need the truck, ect. Hotel, meals and its not UP prices, the hospitality is the same, just costs 3x as much. My 2 sled trips planned this year will cost what I used to spend in one season with my family and 7 sleds. And they are not coming with. I will get to hook up with my son in Utah, and ride with the OLS Crew, and also ski for a day or 2, at 140.00 per day. I have to go with Bradzoo on this one, you can't take it with you. Think Snow and you will forget the cost. Quote of the day: Snowmobiling is a temporary form of insanity cured by a large Lake Effect Snowstorm.
