Recreation & "Way of Life", I have to agree, too. Now the races and the different structured completions I would defiantly consider a sport, and yes the drivers/ riders are athletes.
A way of life just sounded so much better than a mental illness. Guilty as charged.

Recreation, A sport requires a score of some sort.

so you are telling me in your head you are not keeping score of some kind? like highmarks sucesfull lines picked and huge blunders blown sleds yard sails busted hoods crazy drops.
then revisited usualy in smack talk back at the cabin.you know you do may not be a number but you know who screwd the pooch on any given trip and who was the clear winner with somthing that was pulled and talked about more than a few times on that 5 to 18 hr drive back from the big game

Nobody wants to join that team...

Comon Indy, I like you, I think you're a good kid, but really, your subtle bashings are getting a tad old. Nobody riffs on your brand of choice, time to hit the kill switch on that already.-Mezz

I agree, for such a responsible kid, and not to forget, one of the highest post users on this site, the brand smashing is getting a little old.
Even thought you mean it all in fun, I am starting to loose respect I had for you.

Please don't take this wrong, as a parent I know a Smoke & mirrors response, a classic kids reaction to avoidance. ("sounds like some people need some snow!") Do you honestly think I am being pizzy because of our oddly broken winter? I have noticed for quite some time how you subtly smash Cat & I have let it go as have many others figuring it will eventually stop. Well, it hasn't, & quite frankly, I personally am a little put off by the continued "brand bashing". I am certain you are well aware this is one of the "rules of this site". I can certainly rip on any brand at the drop of a hat with the best of them, even you, however, it is a rule of the site, as such, you should refrain from it.
Like I said before, I like you, I think you're a good kid, but seriously, it's time to man up & abide by this rule. BTW, I haven't given up on winter, In my 35 years of loving the sport, I never give up on winter, even after the fat lady begins to warm up for her grand performance. Be cool, stay cool.-Mezz

Camping is a recreational activity, does that belong in the same catagory as snowmobiling?

Well said, Mezz... ALL brand bashing gets tiresome, no matter what brand it is.

No, Indy -- what it means, as others have stated, that while many of us basically like you, admire and respect your honesty, work ethic, creativity, and ingenuity, it seems more and more that you can't resist throwing in your 2 cents worth on somebody's choice of sled or oil. Once in a while might be fun or funny, but a little goes a long way. When somebody asks a serious question, he or she deserves a serious, unbiased answer to that question. If you can't give it, then you shouldn't post. We all get your point that if it isn't Klotz or Polaris it isn't worth running. Time to move on.

I think russholio hit it on the spot. A lot of my posts read seriously sound like I'm an avid brand-basher. Most people don't see the humor in my posts. It's just a part of me to give you Cat Guys a hit in the gut here or there. I've posted the same way since the day I jointed the forum, and it seems this same "issue" gets brought up EVERY year around March when the snow's melting, SERIOUSLY! Lighten up, it will snow again. If you think its a childish way of rejection then so be it. This happens every spring whether you want to believe me or not... Either way I'm going riding this weekend. Think Snow!

Indy, you missed my point, and I'm pretty sure you missed some points others have made (though I can't speak for them).

I know what the second half of your reply said and I ignored it for a reason. I went all fall, and almost all winter up till this week before I started getting heckled again about my posting. You guys really dont see the pattern here do you?

I don't think Indy missed the point. He gets it. Like Indy said, people lighten up. If this is gets you upset, life must be good because you don't have more important things to worry about.

The only pattern I see is what appears to some people as pretty frequent brand-bashing by you -- sometimes subtle, sometimes not so much. Maybe you mean it as humor, but it's gotten to the point where it isn't seen that way anymore by some. When it's no longer funny, it's annoying -- especially to those of us who try to abide by the board rule against bashing.

I will say again I think you have fine qualities. If I had kids and they had such qualities, I'd be pleased as punch. But that doesn't place you above reproach, either.
