Looks great Paul. Looking forward to getting over there and seeing it in person. The little guy is a lot bigger than the last pictures. Enjoy your visit with them. My grandson made his first trip north to our cabin last week. Mosquitoes were brutal so not a lot of outside time but he did get to visit Retreat Bar and keep me company for a few cold ones.

Thanks Bob, good to hear, we'll get together yet this summer. How's rehab coming along?

I like the rocks on the side of the garage in the front that will prevent a lot of erosion during monsoons. 👍
Pete, the rocks work well with regard to that. On the other side i have had some erosion but have put in rocks and that seems to have stopped it. We had some heavier showers early this morning and supposed to get more today. Lots of rain here compared to winter when we had no precipitation.

That is the nicest $100K oversized two car garage I've ever seen.

Kidding obviously. That is shaping up to be a very fine looking place to wrench on toys. Certainly NOT a pole barn.

You’re not very far off but it fits everything that I have and it’s exactly what I have wanted for a long time.

It’s been awhile and been super busy. I am retired now and busier than I’ve ever been. Headed down to Naperville to babysit the little guy for 3 weeks before July 4th. I flew my wife down to Ohare from Ironwood, MI airport, one way ticket was $119. Then we drove back home on Sunday 7/7. The garage is coming along, all outside work but there are also many other things going on like splitting wood, doing some odd jobs for neighbors, etc. I started siding on the difficult side of the garage and am now within 6 ft of having that side done. We are in the process of having an architect design our house that will be attached to the garage. Can’t wait to see the drawings. Also, had a load of road gravel brought to finish the parking area up top, it turned out very nice and will handle my trailers and overflow parking. I ordered another load of siding to finish up and it comes in on 7/30. I don’t know if I mentioned it but once you get away from window and angle cuts you can real make time as they are 12ft pieces and with siding hangers yours truly can get this side completed by 1st week in August. Then the east and west sides get done before the weather turns, I am on track and will meet my deadline. Spending a little more time with my new grandson, he is a good little guy. He was born premature, and now is 12lbs at the age of almost 4 months. Hard to believe how fast they grow up! He is a blessing to to our family. We have guests almost every weekend now through August up to the lake so it’s busy. No complaints, just busy. Shout out to Tim from Indiana, ran into Tim at the big rummage sale in MW last Wednesday, good to see you Tim! Enjoy the pics! 1721523447476.png

Looks nice, lots of parking space. Cute grandson!

Nice seeing you this week, it's been too long.
Ditto Tim, Bob ready for a ride this winter, he was running his sleds this weekend! I just need to get a new battery for my ski-doo, it’s on the long list of things to do.

Thanks Starlaker, this summer has been much more relaxing as I’m not so much under the gun to get things done. While I knew I was going to get dried in last fall, this summer I should be done with siding by Labor Day. More time to spend with the little guy and work on my golf game.

Sounds like life is very good Enjoy. Hubby and I thinking about hanging things up next year guess will see what God has in store. Wish it would quit raining and save some precipitation for this winter! are you interested in building a small cabin in star lake? just asking! :)

Life is great. Hope you can follow your dreams and retire soon as when we get to this age it’s what we worked all those years for. As for building a a small cabin, I wish it was in my future but I still have my main house to renovate and make it into what both my wife and I have in mind. So, I have to pass on that but will only say, if you put your mind to it you can achieve anything!

Good looking little guy & as always, good looking work on the project. I can really appreciate the attention to detail in your work whether it's the building or your landscaping, nice job.
