I had a big issue finding someone to do a small project. Not a lot of $$. Very few of them even called me back.

Yep, that's an issue, why I pretty much do everything myself.

I get that. I'm blessed because my contractor is the chairman of my congregation. He's swamped, but he always slips me in his schd.

I agree. I don't like to pay someone to do what I can myself.

Paul you have the right idea if you can find a guy you can work with and kinda do the general yourself self make take a little longer but way more cost efficient and you can see the quality of work being done. I was very lucky on the builds that I was able to do that and had a real carpenter with 30-35 years experience to make sure the codes were all met.

Depending on complexity and timing I’d be interested in the framing part. I’d rather frame up there than down here in the Fox Valley.
