I'm going up this weekend but not riding until after. Re-run of last weekend. As long as the groomers do their job everything will be fine.

Hopefully it's just the western up that's that full! I'm sure it's not. Lower Michigan should have quite a bit of traffic too I would guess.

Four of us are going up, we will be everywhere north and south of Houghton, as long as the snow does not melt, from what I read in JD's forecast looks like Monday and Tuesday
Will be above freezing and If I understood correctly even possible rain.

Ill be up mon-sun!!!!
Hopefully it doesn't warm up to much mon-tues!

Its unreal how bad the traffic is in western Yoop now....we sat on teh side of the trail and ate some hot dogs. it took over 5 minutes to cross the trail. i would guess 150-200 sleds passed in the 30 minutes we sat there. It sickening seeing a 45 minute wait for food or gas. I thinking a new riding spot or go during the week from now on. I couldnt believe all the people that "off trail ride" right next to the trail...it was hard to keep a pace on trial 3 between twin lakes and mass because sleds were jumping on and off the trail randomly and most werent even looking!

Had 3 guys in the restaurant on Sunday from Ohio. Said the trails were good and no traffic! Best kept secret in the U.P.!! Iron County, Crystal Falls that is. For mor details you can always call (906) 875-3117. And remember, when you are on the trails, Ride Smart, Ride Safe!

"The forecast looks pretty wintry in the next 10 days, although riders wanting to get out in the central Midwest should take advantage of Friday's snows as they do not look to last too long. Changes have removed (at least for now) any thaw and liquiud precip for the Northwoods for the next week and replaced it with some meaningful snows."

"Temps also look to warm, but changes to the forecast point to the idea (at least for now) temps across most of the Northwoods will remain below freezing and that snowa will start up in the western Northwoods later Tuesday and the spread east into the rest of the Northwoods for Wednesday and Thursday. The exact details to this event are still a little up in the air, but right now it looks to be a case where the further north you go in the Northwoods, the heavier the snows would be....."

Keep the Faith!!!

Heading up in a few hours to northern wisconsin. Maybe UP if I can talk the 45 bucks out of everyone. I need to do something about my work, it's starting to affect my riding! Lol

Nytro - Bigdaddy is going up today after work - Sunday.

Makes me nervous because I know how many people are out on the trails and I won't be the sweeper to watch over the crew! Makes me way more nervous staying at home while they go out riding?!

Makes me wanna cry. You still can find untracked snow but it takes more work or trailering.

You got that right Al no one rides out that way & why I was in Amasa on MLK day. On the other the hand those Iron County Twisty trails would bring tears to most Yoop riders make WI twistys seem like well groomed interstates on derby week.lol IC trails are hairpins & super tight & if you don't like tree branches & picker brush trying to wipe you off the sled don't ride there.lol I like the change of pace but a different low snow enviroment for sure & I think the low snow is what keeps people away.
