I can't say for sure how the trails are as I didn't go south yet, but if we get 15% of the predicted snow this week it will be very good. Best it's been in a few years. I'll do some asking and try to keep you posted.

Thanks renegade! Any help appreciated! Pierce, Buffalo, Trempealeau, and Eau Claire counties is our want to ride area. Going for the scenery!

Here is what I know. North half of Tremp Co is open. Southern half just closed cause not enough snow on top of lots of ice, so for safety. Basically the good snow line right now is hwy 10. So that would include Peirce, Pepin and EC counties with the better snow. I'm in those counties virtually every day I know they have good snow. The downside is the base was gone. This week's snow will really help get things great. Southern trempealeau Buffalo and Jackson need more snow.

Eau claire county is open, but from Interstate 94 east has not been groomed or panned this year at all. It looks like they are letting the sledders pound through some areas, and hopefully will groom after the fresh snow tomorrow evening. We are forecasted for 3-6 inches now.

Know friends in Clark county and the trails around Rock Dam were panned and groomed and they rate good plus. They are really honest folks so I believe them. Some ice, but after that massive thaw last weekend that is to be expected. I'm not going to complain. We can finally ride without trailering.

If we get the 3 on Sunday, part of the 4-8 on Monday into Tuesday you could base out of Osseo and run beautiful loops through 7-8 counties for 4 days of riding easy. My fingers and toes are crossed.

Perfect, we have thought for years we would like to base out of Osseo! Wife picked that spot 20 years ago,and have yet to get it done Many ways to go. Whitehall, or Durand is also in our zone. NWS is showing 10" to 20" possible over the next 4/5 days, and reasonable wind. Should be very good! Keep the info updated! Thanks so much all of you!

Haven’t gotten to ride Sparta, or Black River Falls in some years. Would be great if they would get all the snow they're predicting.

Today I rode Neillsville to Hatfield to BRF to Millston to Pray and back to Hatfield - Neillsville......Trails are in overall good shape, some gravel and rocks but not bad at all...good day riding.

Trails will be great if we get what is predicted.

On Sunday rode up to Rock Dam, Thorp, Greenwood back down to Neillsville area.....thin in the fields north of Greenwood, trails in the woods are good.

Yep, complete and utter BUST. Time to mothball them fellas! ;)

Come on fellas! Quad Cities missed it by 35 miles (a width of a hair on the synoptic weather scale) and Ptown was never suppose to get it.

X2! A BUST!

Hopefully whitehorse, and WorkHarddPlayHard will chime in with updates today with their conditions, and snowfall from this storm!

We are just outside of Eau Claire on 85 in Rock Falls and have about 7 inches so far and still snowing. My deck was clean last Monday and we are at 22 inches right now since this time last Tuesday

Thanks 02Bracing!

Bingo John! False hope on my part for going against your graphics, eh? I do know better, but overwhelmed wanting to ride got to me! There will be no quit, or mothballs for some time yet! Patiently waiting for my wife to be out of that immobilizer boot, and get activated!

All good. My comment was totals tongue and cheek! I can sympathize with you. Park Ridge IL did not get much more snow than Ptown when I was growing up there, so every time there was any kind of hope, I was ALL over it. Finally gave up and moved here! No more hoping, just digging out!

Enjoy the snow all! I have not seen snowcover like this across the northern Midwest as a whole in a LONG time!

All right chiming in. We are at 7 inches and still coming down. I had hoped the groomer would be out after the last storm and smooth things out by me, but it wasn't out as of 10 last night. I road a short section of the trail to take a few gallons of fuel to a nice young lady stuck in the ditch so she could stay warm while she waited for a tow on Sunday on the side rode that she was on while trying to go around the massive pile up on 94. We didn't dare use the tractor to get her out, because she had nowhere to hook onto that wouldn't hurt the car, and it was completely undamaged except for being wedged.

Back to the trail it was down to dirt with the snow all thrown out of the center and hard small bumps everywhere. This is the trail system in eau claire county east of 94 at Foster that heads to Augusta, Fall Creek, Osseo where you can connect with the Buffalo county trail (as we locals call it the DNR speedway that goes from Fairchild to Mondovi.). That has been groomed. Will check later to see if the groomer has been out and repost. Stay safe everyone.

Lots of snow! Blair 18", Tomah 17", Arcadia, Independence, Eleva, 14". Good snow everywhere, and blowing good. Biggest problem will be dry snow and will it form a base in the plowed fields. I'm sure there will be a few plowed fields that will be rough here and there, but it won't be terrible. Pierce and pepin were out grooming already and I hope Tremp is. They are supposed to be but they seem to be letting it sit to much for my liking. Might be your best chance for a few years to ride this area.

14.5 in osseo and still falling. I agree with you on the grooming renegade they just seem to be waiting to long. I disagree on the dry snow this stuff is wet. My pants are soaked and I have to use the manure bucket on our S185 extra weights Bobcat, because it can't push the snow bucket it weighs so much. If they would just groom the trails would easily be rated very good, but I have yet to see the groomer.

We're starting to consider if we need to act like we're in the UP and clean off some of the roofs on the buildings.
