Gas and go is a delusion. Once you get ski's upgraded, new slides and boogie wheel update kit to mitigate slide wear, and Yamaheaters on older models, then gas and go. After $600 to $800 in mods.
Not to mention $150 oil change once a year, I can buy 3.5 gallons of VES Gold for that. LOL

I don't have to buy 3 gal of oil every year or premium gas and one gal less than rush 600 2.5 gal less than rush 800 every fill up now at the end of this season add that up for about 4000 miles come April 1st

Yamaha is going to have some Vipers at Peacocks this friday and saturday so since I have to pick my sled up from service I signed up for a ride. This is the last season on my 600 etec warranty and they are replacing a $750 injector so it is time to think about getting a new sled and maybe even back onto a 4 stroke. Have been eyeballing the 900 Ace but not sure on the power and also considering a 1200 gade. Maybe a Yamaha is in my future again.......

I hear you on the concern for lack of power with the 900 Ace although I havent given one a try yet. I want it all, light, decent power and dependable!

If you have an RMK is the 144 going to be to much for a trial sled? I only ask because I am concerned going from a 120 to a 137...........

My 144 switchback was perfect for trail riding. I think the yamicat is a 137 or 141??? I will be up Fri. To Monday.

Nailed it!! Not sure why anyone would want a low-quality A/C with a great motor? Without the A/C contribution I might give it a look...might being the operative. But not at 12 G's - these guys are totally crazy.
There was too much hype with this sled and it didn't have a chance to live up to it. And Yam certainly didn't want to hear any negatives prior to the season...guys got kicked off TY for voicing negatives about it.
And this argument about "gas and go"? I started thinking about that one day after another $150 oil change receipt, and it occurred to me you can buy about 4 gallons of VES Gold for that price and ride for about 8-9 years at my average MPY. LOL (yeah it is seriously laughable)
