Still waiting!!!!!!!!

Still havent got my new Switchback 800 Pro R yet. Anyone else still waiting for theirs? Talked to the dealer on Wednesday, said it was suppose to be built and shipped this past week .If not he said he would get one from another dealer cuz we are planning on a 4 day weekend 8th-11th. Dont like to pick it up and leave the next day,I need to bond with it a litttle bit before I just get on and ride (lol)

I heard they built a small run earlier to give dealers a few and the snowcheck ones but havent finished the remaining run yet. The adventure run is also not completed yet but we got the wifes from dealer stock a month ago.

They better get it to you guys soon, that's really pushing it too close! I'd be a little unhappy about that as a guy needs to sit on it every night and check everything over 20-30 times prior to the first ride. ;)

No shortage of that sled here in my section of MI. RMK's are far and few between around here. Guess 600' above sea level is not a good spot to sell RMK's

Just got off the phone with dealer and the said Dec. 11th at the earliest.... grr.... So he went and got one for me at a different dealer and it will be ready friday by noonish. Polaris i dont know why u insist on continuing to piss me off but if this sled breaks down I will be done with Poos .....GUARANTEED

Wow. What a cruddy feeling. 12/11 (at earliest). That's unacceptable. Decembers the month to get out, curb the itch, and get those new machines broken in. Glad to hear your dealer went to bat for ya.

So??? It was not a snow check sled or it was??? If so......................
You sure your "Dealer" turned in the paper work. I have never had an issue with Polaris ever and I have snow checked about 20 sleds from them through Nelsons Speed Shop and about 4 snow check sleds from Peacock LTD. never an issue. Not even on getting RMK's to lower MI. Most the time sleds show up in Sept. for me.

Or is the dealer recovering from a fumble? And blaming the manufacturer?

1 guy in our crew has one and is thinking it is going to have to stay home on our 1st trip west unless poo comes up with a fix real quick.

go read the sno west pro section they gave the drive shaft its own to fourm.
long story short the alloy drive shaft has a steel end and they are failing at a alarming rate
3 guys are building clamps others are working on other clamps.
not good
my bud is prob going to buy a assault shaft and have it worked on to fit the belt drive before our new yrs trip

Sounds like a manufacturing issue not a design issue. (glue failure) I trust Mountain Horse (Eric) and his views, rest just blow steam.

hard to say that alloy looks pretty thin. I know my bud is not taking a chance on it holding up on its first ride. 16hr drive and for the most part miles from the closest trail. **** I would not go with stuff can always happen but if at all avoidable u do what u can not to rune a trip for u and the guys with u.
never never never fun getting a busted sled out of the deep back country.some times it cant be done
