Storm A BUST????

I remember the last storm in the UP was supposed to hit on a Sunday and Saturday night. It was a day late and I woke up on Monday morning to about 2 feet of powder. It seems that forecasters are never spot on. Let's try not to worry about tomorrow...snow will come my friends!

Sigh....well, considering it hasn't snowed like it should since we got a house in White Pine? I'm thinking it's really all my fault due to some beef mom nature has with me?!
Cat Woman - finally snowing here. I'd like to make the bargain that I'll gladly take 3" here and donate the rest to WI and UP MI!
It is a bust Phelps between 3-4" over nite & very dry snow falling now 14 degrees. From other reports seems like west of Phelps got much less so can't ride in that direction yet. Checked John's graphics + radar & seems to match reality for today anyway. LES downgrade is the largest disapointment to me as was hoping UP would finally get enough snow to blend thin areas but LES is sooooo difficult to forecast so will shall see. Seems to me right now I would take good with the bad to ride from Phelps thru UP & was hoping for better for mid Jan. Not a good year dang it!
This "snowstorm" is a total bust. Only about an inch. I wish I could be that wrong all the time and get away with it on my job. Why can't they ever be wrong in the other direction? "Oops we're sorry. I know we said only 1 inch of snow and we got 8 instead. Oh well - that's Mother Nature."
How about we keep what we get and Alaska does the donating!

Not a total bust in the Keweenaw..
We have been getting steady snow all day today between Hancock and Calumet. Must be around 8 inches total so far.

This is killing me. It is now snowing like crazy here in Northern Kentucky and we're supposed to get 1-2 inches. If this keeps up for long we'll get more than that, though the warm ground will melt some of it.
I was hoping to get away to lower MI this weekend but these reports and the northwoods net cam network don't give me much hope so far.
I'm usually the glass half full type of person but this winter is making me cranky. Thinking snow!

that'd make them happy, I'm sure!! Get Canada to export some snow too and it'd all be good!
Still raining here on the West coast of Michigan (Manistee). 33* and its trin to be snow.
We have no snow on the ground here at all.
I can't seem to remember in my life a winter like this, Have NOT been able to ride out of my barn this year.
Even if we get snow here it seems to be gone by the middle of March. Thats maybe 8 weeks of riding if we get snow soon. Not lookin to good.

Blew off the front porch & measured in driveway looks lake 4-5" & just flurries now with sun poking thru. Maybe LES can get turned on for an inch or 2 but not much wind to bring it to Phelps. I'll take it but big disapointment with all the hype of a foot & more.
I get that it's not the foot that all were hoping for...but 4-5 plus another 2? is pretty good! Then just get the LES machine to start giving up that 2" a day and the Northwoods will be all good again!

Supposed to snow more heavily between 6 pm and midnight. I think you guys are just too impatient.... Storm kept coming later and later. I still have faith
and at least it's not raining like it is by poor 7707!! Rain in the winter is an offensive waste of snow!
Not a total bust, but not enough to ride. Right now we have about 3 on the ground here in southern WI, with another 1" on the way. I'm hoping the central UP gets more...we're headin up bright and early in the morning Friday. SO, not a total bust, at least the ground is white now. Yesterday at this time it was 52*, now it's snowing and 21*. Gotta love WI weather.
Awe. Thanks for the shoulder to cry on Wtgal. Must have worked, things are gettin whiter as i type.
Indy, Faith and patience i do have grasshoper. Just sayin !
Rain in the winter, period, is just plain wrong. Much like non-alcoholic beer and decaffeinated coffee.
