I don't believe anyone knows what the weather will or will not do anymore.

Seems Mother Nature is wreaking havoc all over the World.............

Don't worry, Jim Cantore (Weather Channel fame) will keep us on the edge of our seats in between his push up sessions. Wonder if John Dee is as buff as Jim?

There will be snow in northern WI & WUPMI always has been always will be. 11 years here least amount of miles was 1500+. If roller coaster year get out & ride when snow is best. Really not too bad riding in 20s ....I'll take it.:)

There'll always be snow somewhere, just got to find it!

Yea did that all last year. got in 2000 miles of pretty good riding.
Would like to work a little in the winter though too. Nice to have some income to help offset expense of drive to ride.
If I'd of known much I would have to trailer. I should have kept track of mileage on the truck, to do the riding I did.

The bad thing about driving to the snow is that everybody will do the same thing and it will be a zoo.

and when u do get there it will inevitably be pisspounded whooped out trails . and once u do get off that miserable trail u will need to burn 1/3 of a tank to find any fresh .
but that 1 fresh over the hood dump weekend keeps us coming back for more

Those of us who live in the city have to drive to the snow and trails regardless of how good the winter is -- it's a way of life for us. Sometimes we just have to drive farther than other times. :) Personally, I prefer to drive as little as I have to.

when I moved last time that was one of the important things no non negotiable things on the list of where to live . ability to ride from house. if this town bans sleds and I highly doubt it will in my life that is when I move.
not the best riding but it is ridding and really for metro area ridding it ranks pretty high up there .

That's my thing is I live where I should be able to ride out of my garage and not have to trailer. But i guess when you choose a hobby such as this you have to take the good with the bad.

Always lived near trail head but was tuff in Walworth county snow would come & go so kept the sled in trailer. In Phelps sled parked out front walk out the door & ride over the river & thru the woods to groomed trail. Only time sled goes back on trailer is when rain is forecasted but rare event here in winter. :)
