Every area in the UP that has good snow has been bottlenecked with traffic. Have to do your homework to stay off the beaten path, and also avoiding trail 8 east out of Munising is a big one. No different than trail 3 leading into Houghton. 1 main artery trail, nothing else to relieve the traffic.
Hopefully some loops can be built off the BN just too much traffic N-S with no off ramps. Smack dab in the Les snowbelt for a nice long season but not my thing rather ride south and east of BN.

So far it's been 5 trips to the UP with 1,100 miles total. A couple of those trips with my wife and friends, so the average daily miles isn't what it used to be. Heading to Colorado next week. Hopefully the UP will continue to deliver well into April this year.

Just returned from the second full week of riding, total for the season is right at 2,000 miles. I did lose a couple days (Sunday & Monday) this past week with a stator issue. One more trip coming in March.
Lucky only 2 days where did you find a new one?

Only 100mi in two small rides as work and commitments have been getting in the way. Which is a bummer as a trail crosses the lot at my work and I see sleds all day/all week and believe me it is hard to focus on work sometimes while all that is happening outside. Although a cool thing happened the other day as I was moving snow with a bobcat, which happened to be on the trail access, I then dropped some snow on that section to repair my rutts, so technically I did some grooming with a bobcat ;)

only 190 miles. Sad thing is on a usual year with this cold I could be out on my local lake and river, with the odd ice conditions this year that is not even safe.

Ugh. One trip to The Black Hills with a broken a-arm to account for it. Work was busy after that trip, so haven't done another yet. Just got booked for our first time to The Big Horns in a couple weeks. Then ending the season a couple weeks after that with a Spring Break trip to Togwotee. First time there as well.
