Well...the trails are finally getting nice up here...and of course my sled went down...this time, an electrical issue...it's going into my buddies shop to try and diagnose the problem the weekend..and hopefully it's something minor....Is there anything worse than watching it snow...looking at a freshly groomed trail (with no tracks on it)??? I totally understand how BEARS fans who are burning their Jay Cutler jerseys feel!!!......I'd like to take all of my CAT gear and do the same thing!!! After losing 5 weeks of riding last season due to a blown engine...now this...SMH.....I hope you guys are getting some riding in...the trails look fantastic...just about everywhere I have been the last few days...even the Manitowish area which was really rough last wednesday and thursday, has vastly improved...so get out there and enjoy it...I wish I could...instead...I will be with my polaris buddy(and expert wrench)...working on the cat...and you can bet...I will be getting an earful about "those green sleds"....and the"world class" jokes will be plentiful.....lol (what can I do...but take it)

Oh I will definitely be on a 4 stroke...mostly like a yamaha...as soon as I can...the bank has been called...pencils are being sharpened as we speak...lol
Any sled...and any brand can break.(I have blown up two ski-doos, this cat, and spun the crank in yami..also had stator problems with another doo)...it sucks when your sled breaks...I try to look at the bright side...which is I hope to be on a newer sled ...soon....thanks for the offer groomer...I'd take u up on it if I was closer.

Kip has a couple of cherry Apex XTXs you should trade in the kitty 2smoke get back to 4s roots & be riding like me.
Sweeeeet!!! I hope it works out for you I luv my XTX my bud with 2011 SE luvs his too all bought from Pat's autographed by the Kipper. I know it SUCKS to be sitting with broken 2 smoke been there done that. I now have 15,000 miles on 2 Yamaha 4s never missed a ride ...knock on wood xxxxxxx

I have 3 Yamaha vectors belts last about 1200 to 1800 miles. Are these belts from Yamaha have a problem?
Not mine on Apex XTX 4 holer believe all the same belts I change mine every 4000 miles just because but come to think of it I was getting belt noise on newish belt yesterday just figured it was extreme cold & snow dust. I have have about 800 miles on that belt I'll take a look see what is up. Thanks for heads up!

Yep 4 stroke Yami, Nick Keller has 80,000 miles on his. Never a rebuild. just had to have the cam and valves serviced. I would like to get a Viper someday, probably used.
Can't go wrong with a used cherry low mile Yami BUT somebody has to buy them new so we can buy them used..lol
What would you call low miles on a Yamaha? Just curious.
^^^^wow nice...minus those handful of sleds that failed (and note the majority were yellow)...I have owned 18 sleds...and some were great and some weren't...but let me remind you that you are on john dee...not the snow goer trashed board...there's no reason for you to trash me here.

Swallow your pride, buy a Doo 4 stroke, and you'll drastically reduce your "sleds owned" pace going forward. lol
Another HUGE proponent of the 1200 Doo here...I put 7000+ on my 2010 TNT without a hiccup...and it handles soooooo much better than a Yami. That said, if you like the old seating style, you really can't beat a Yami again. My wife put 6k on a 2007 Vector, and 5500 on a 2010 Vector, and I think I changed ONE BELT between the two...that was IT. They were awesome. Traded them both for a 2015 Viper...virgin ride will be Crivitz tomorrow...fingers are crossed!
