You like to look of the beaver tail Rush?
No thanks.

I'm very sorry, I was speaking about Summer toys as the link shows.

C'mon Mr. Dee, we all know "simple" and "smart" can mean the same thing and in your case it does!

Now for Textron and A/C, mergers and acquisitions generally occur as one company knows something they can do to increase market share, use economies of scale and ultimately lead to profitability.
Check out the pop-up ad at Textron..

What good will this merger do? Nothing in my opinion as they can't beat Polaris.

A BIG OOPS, I was speaking of ATV/UTV lines, we all know Ski-Doo has the best sleds.

Good money after bad is my thought?

Neither Textron or A/C has what recreational buyers want (maybe they do for work, I don't know).
Why?
-Horrible depreciation
-Ugly appearance

Who in their right mind would buy one (unless they bough extremely cheap on mega-rebate) as Polaris has what everyone wants; reliability, good cost per mile and they look pretty darned good.

Bear

Did you just say polaris and reliability in the same sentence? Lolololol

This tread is funny. I like all the predictions from all the oracles. When Textron's net worth is almost double Polaris Industries and BRP together, they released a revised front end, and re-branded the ATV/UTV's back to Cat, those are not the actions of a brand disappearing. I think everyone who believes "this is the end for Cat" better lay off the recreational Mary Jane and start implementing some critical thinking.

And if you wish them to die, then all originality from the industry will be lost. (The slide rail suspension, the independent front end in a production sled ('79 trail Cat came out before the Indy), the A-arm front end, battery less EFI (Polaris stole their first EFI and cost them $30 mil) and now the mono-rail rear suspension is all from Cat. Yep, all Ski-doo gave us was the ride forward.)

Amen! Every year no matter what brand of sleds there are a lot of people that complain about something when they release the new sleds.

Hmmmm? All Ski Doo gave us, rotary valve, exhaust valves, SDI, Rev, Etec, first nominal weight 4 stoke snowmobiles? Yeah, not much there. Hard to believe Doo's sell so well? Just saying, not bashing.

Hopefully Doo has an LED headlight finally and GPS with the new gauge! I really don't get no LED headlight as of 2019 models. Why they didn't include that in the new sled a few years ago is beyond me.

And still no LED headlight and the new digital gauge has no GPS and looks "Ho Hum" to me. Still a step up I think.
I think they just like to have folks purchase their LED accessory lights and make some more money. There really is no reason not to have updated the headlight by now.

Yeah, it hurts even more when it's out of warranty, and that "quality" tech doesn't hold together. Been there - done that.

I agree.
Those add on LED bars from Doo are way too expensive and all they do is add visibility to other riders.
Money wasted!

And they look really cheesy mounted right next to the halogen headlights. Don’t mix lighting technologies. No bueno.
