are u kidding me U cant pass inspection to race a 120 but they don't require a wireless tether at the x games when they know 1000s of people will be watching then do gymnastics on their snowmobiles just behind the snow fence.
I know for a fact they require a tether for x games sno x

Ive used a teth-air and it will shut the sled off if anything gets in the way. If I stand right next to it but turn my body around it will kill the engine. Kinda hard to do all the tricks with it like that. Though Im sure they could make it have a stronger signal for stuff like that?

Damn I've been jumpin backwoods and mountains and even wood ramps since I was a kid even been to the snow park does that mean I'm a pro and all the other John dee family that do the same are tooooo!!!!! Man oh man I wish I could walk into a random sport to try a trick with 4 hours of saddle time go to the x games ride among the best in our sport and look like a moron.. Hmmmm I wonder if money had something to do with it. I don't think there just drop dead desperate for riders either considering look at all the videos of people trying to get into the x games some of which are way way better in the talent section

There's a lot of dumb in this thread.

First the tether idea is all dumb, you can't spin and keep a tether on so that's out. An RII system (remote ignition interrupt system) like the one used in Monster Trucks is better.

Second the idea that you have to have certain riding time to be a pro is ridiculous. Professional and experienced are not the same thing. If you know the history of the X-games you would know that many of the tricks tried have never been done before and many of the contestants, including Chris Burandt, learn their tricks a week before competition. Sure riding a snowmobile might sound like a prerequisite but the Moore brothers are ATV riders from Texas and won medals their first year of riding.

Ok but I've raced snocross for 4 years and by no means am I a pro I would not call that kid a pro just because he is on a dirt bike and a 4 wheeler... Not a sled....if you think that in 4 hours on a sled gives you the right to call ur self a pro and attempt a trick like that you need a special helmet.. Leave it to the pros who practice and I disagree very much on the deal about the tricks being learned a week ahead of time these guys are pros not dumb a$$es they know that this is a huge event and practice look at the double back flip and the front flip all very practiced tricks that took time to get.... On top of that a body varial ain't got jack on a front flip...
