Thoughts on Riding Next Weekend?

Temps look to be in the high 30's and low 40's for President's day weekend. We have a group ready to ride, but I really have had enough bad riding this year. Who is riding and who is cancelling?

I was up there last weekend and it was fine both off and on trail. I would call and ask someone up there not one of us. I say go for it.

Yeah because the businesses up there will give an honest opinion. LOL. I trust real opinions and reports from this site more than I do anyplace else. That's why I asked.

Am I missing something? I don't see where you said you were going.
I haven't booked anything yet. I will go where conditions are best. I'm worried that the snow will be soft and the grooming will stop. Anywhere between Wisconsin northwoods and the UP.

How's the snow and trails looking in Chicagoland? I would have to think having snow in UP is better than no snow?😉

I guess you guys like to waste your time, money and backs riding in bad conditions more than I do. I've been doing this thing for long enough to know that things change when temps get in the 30's and 40's. I've had three trips already with crap conditions. I don't want another this year.

Any thoughts on how things will hold up next weekend in the Northwoods and UP with temps in the 30's and 40's? Thanks in advance for intelligent replies.

not always . U could not pay me to ride in some of the crap I have endured on UP trails in my life anymore.
and it always started with well it has to be better than here.

My expert opinion is don't go. If temps are to warm to be grooming , trails will not be smooth and pristine. Maybe in a few weeks it will be better

I'm scheduled to go next Thursday night, but I expect it to be garbage with temps in 40's. Even Friday is 39.
I'll try to ride at night, but if they aren't grooming, it won't matter much.
