I don't think the purpose for this forum is to make threats to other riders. Especially considering that its about 1 in million chance that those guys read this board.

Just for kicks though, who did you have with you?

Whoever I'm sure they were not impressed. No ROI regarding trail confrontations does not change their actions just ride & look out for Ricky.

That is not cool! That is how one guy died on the Corridor last year, thought he would blow by a group and ran a stop sign hit a car. There is a reason for the 10mph speed limit thru town. See alot of speeding thru town all the time, more so with atvs in the summer. Idiots like that can cause us to loose trails and routes, the locals were upset in town and threaten to go to the city town meeting to band riders from the town roads, which all but 1 or 2 blocks in town is legal (for atvs) to ride.
Just my 2 cents.

Slower groups just need to slide over and let them ride by,,,common sense and no issues,,,now when a car blows a stop sign do they run in and want to close that street ?

Have ridden through Iron River many times. Have always thought the 10mph speed limit was kind of silly. I understand that there must be a reason it happened to begin with but 10mph actually encourages speeding. I have never seen a 10mph speed limit anywhere else. 30 mph would be more reasonable. There are about 5 stop signs through Iron River so nobody should be building much speed anyway. Also most times when I have been through Iron River I have noticed that they dont use much sand or salt on their intersections. You have more control on a snowmobile than you do in a car in Iron River. That being said there are a million ways to get killed on a sled and you always have to be paying attention. Also we don't need to lose any more trails.

I thought the 15 mph through Ironwood was a little silly being some stretches were barron of houses and business. Then I saw kids walking down the trail after being dropped off by a school bus and it all clicked. There are reasons for speed limits.

Not exactly sure where this happened in IR but trail 2 is a HUGE wide grade thru there & 10 mph is silly IF you know the trail lots of road crossings. I think the purpose of 10 mph is to slow down E/W riders in the heart of IR just a mile or so. Anyone that has ridden trail 2E/W knows that is one of the fastest grades in the UP. I have never been passed in town in IR & I don't do 10 mph & in fact most times traffic is so light you don't see another sled. You do need to be careful at road crossings about 3-5PM can be lots of car traffic but at 10PM after SB a ghost town. To me I just would have moved over let whoever pass & be done with it in no way would I assume the role of the trail police. I think dtaube was pissed about being passed but life too short to get all upset about being passed on 2 happens all the time to slower riders.

We rode through the Gogebic area last thurs, and met MANY sleds on the wrong side of the trail including blind corners. There seems to be a LOT of guys out there riding ABOVE their ability......
