Togwotee Lodge sells permits, cost is $25 for non-resident
Be careful in the Togwotee area right now. The snow is a lot less than it normally is. Expect to run over a lot of willows. We rode there 2/7-11 and had good riding once we got hooked up with our guide. Before that, we totaled a sled due to land mines just beneath the snow. Other lesser damage to other sleds. There is powder to be found, but you need to look. Here is a pic of if you look hard you will be rewarded. Also, the avalanche hazard is real! We saw numerous runouts that go right to the ground. One significant one occurred on 2/7 and another on 2/13. If in doubt, stay off anything above 35-40 degrees.
I'll get you a live update next week. I am heading back out there on Sunday the 28th for the week. I'll let you know what we find. We are praying for snow as well.

And some will never understand why we stand when we ride! Fantastic video!
There is plenty of Snow to play in above 8500.
Tuesday we go north to Tog.
Plenty of Snow up towards Tog.
We ran thru a lot of Mud down toward Goosewing. We did see some Elk by Goosewing. The Trail from Goosewing to Lava has not been Groomed this year along with the J Trail down by Crooked Creek/Line Shack.
The Gravel and dirt is getting worse south of Lava Mt.
No new Snow Monday or Tuesday everything off Trail is getting Tracked up.
