Just got off the phone with Tog. lodge. Lava Mtn. south bare ground. head Nw/west for better snow. No new snow in past 3 weeks. My favorite spots ridden hard. Suppose to get snow everyday except Saturday according to a source that Rick Mom has. I have seen weather change by the hr. in Togwotee so anything can happen. Still heading out on the 20th. Riding 6 days and Hill Climb on the 27th. RevKev, I got Justin for a guide. Carter is booked full. I suspect we can tag along at least 1 day with the large group that Rick has going. (you all know who you are). I suspect they have Carter locked up. :)

Dubois is Way too down the Hill to gauge any real snow, Need to move at least 15-20 miles further West, up the Hill to get to any real snow, even Lava Mtn Lodge may be right on the edge. Pray for snow, as we leave this Friday for Lava-Togwotee area.

Yep you're right. It's a bit low in elevation compared to the pass.

We've been praying, believe me, as we'll be out at TML by this Sunday.

Update

Yesterday we took a long trail ride to get away from TML. We then headed up a creek bed into the backcountry and were rewarded with untouched snow for most of the day. We had to roll a sled or two and have a major stuck fest to get into the area, but the snow was awesome. There is snow in spots, but as Firecatguy said, you will go through a skill test to get there. We are going back to the same area today to finish what we started yesterday. We had to take extra gas to be able to make it back after playing for the day.

That is Justin's Cat in the water. He was not the only one that ended up in the drink, but I felt I should post his pic. Carter has been guiding a big group for the last couple weeks.

Snow is in the forecast, but as I type this the sun is coming up and the skies are clear. We had a few snow squalls yesterday, but nothing accumulated. Temps have been in the low 40's so we are riding in a jersey and tek vest. It's pretty nice.

Watch out for Avy's, as we tripped another one yesterday.

Remember, I said last Week the best Powder is south of Strawberry Shelter, West of the CD Trail. But that was a week ago now.

Polarisrider1 are you doing the Pink ribbon ride. I think it is around the 20th. I have a friend going out with a group for the ride. I guess it's pretty cool and alot of fun. They were out there in late Jan. and left their truck and trailer there and flew home. They are flying back out for the ride and then driving back home. just curious

No pink ribbon ride in the works for me. Riding Tog. area 5 days and then going to the hill climb. possibly going to the Snowies April 4-12 if snow holds out.

We just arrived at Togwotee, Never seen the place with such low snow conditions, but that have more than where we were suppose to stay, can you say we were upset when we arrived at Lava Mtn Lodge, and there was no real snow, so we kept driving up the hill, made a Quick Ph call to TML to let them know we were coming. They have a Storm coming in Tomorrow, so we will see what we get out of that. If any JD'ers are out here, look us up, can't miss our tow rig......it's the largest vehicle in the Parking lot..LOL The Moms Motorsports Rig.

Not a good sign, RevKev is on JDee out in Togwotee and not on his sled? Kev it is afternoon yet. What gives?

Wayne, received about 2-4 inches of fresh snow last night, we rode over towards angle Mtn, and Brooks Lake, founds lots of good snow, we have a storm coming in tomorrow night, hope it dumps.
