Getting set for the season (will it ever get here?). Can I get the top 10-15 items you carry on your sled at all times (besides avalanche gear and food/ water). Already started my list, but wonder what I'm missing? Thanks.

A ball cap is a must. My 3/8 drive rachet with a knuckle ext. and spark plug socket.
Lets me reach those dang spark plugs on my firecat.

I travel way lighter than most. I don't have much storage to begin with so just the basics. Spare belt, tow strap, small mag light, credit card and cash since some remote places I've been to don't take plastic. I did add a pair of small jumper cables last year that I'll probably never need, Cell Phone & Digital Camera just about does it for me, the phone has GPS built in.

I've given up on keeping track.....between the tunnel bag, backpack and seat storage, I could probably build another sled on the trail!

Butt wipes. Have a buddy that once he eats and gets on a sled Its a guarantee that we are stopping somewhere in the first 10 miles so he can punch a hole in the snow

I carry most of what has been noted above. One thing not mentioned is a small collapsible shovel for the occasional dig-out. I also carry a little mini plastic gardening shovel for cleaning out my footwells and getting ice/snow/slush out of the nooks and crannies on the tunnel. $2 at walmart.

Can't believe nobody carries a simple compass!

I always carry:

- first aid kit
- lighter
- compass
- pocket knife
- spare belt
- small flashlight
- knit hat
