I have a 8ft x 10ft late 2000's model year triton clamshell style trailer with drive on/off. If you have a similar trailer how long of a snowmobile can you fit in it? I am looking to fit a axys switchback in it. Thanks
I have squeezed a 144" switchback into a 10 footer. It is TIGHT, for many years we put 133.5" 2 ups into a 10 footer with ease, definitely tighter than a 121" but not a huge pain in the butt. If it were me though I would consider selling the 10 footer and upgrade, it shouldn't cost more than a grandish.
I sold my 2012 Renegade to a guy that had a 10 ft Triton Clam. He told me his buddies SBA would not fit. Sometimes a tall windshield will screw you over too.
Doesn't even need to be a tall windshield. Unless it is very short, the windshield can rub on the top of the trailer. i had a 12' and it still scrapped a little. Just putting a towel over the windshield worked. No problem now---sold trailer.
depends on how far u are willing to drive the skis up the nose. I had a bud who hauled a old M8 in 1 skis all wrapped up the nose but it would fit.
dump the old clam u can get good cash for it and buy a new one. use it for 15yrs and prob still only cost u 100 bucks a yr or less to own when u sell again .
something like this snopro hybrid south of 4g with mats and guides and no more shoveling the roof . I really like mine and deff do not miss the triton clam at all. at the age your triton is now u should really make sure the gasket between the axel and the alloy frame is still good and the 2 are not rotting the alloy . 1 of mine had started when I caught it . only reason I checked was my buds a yr older rotted the alloy over axel and the trailer became scrap
I have a 2008 Triton 10' enclosed drive on/drive off. Sounds like it is identical to yours. I believe they make two covers, standard or a raised roof version. Mine is standard. I have a 2016 Rush w/ standard windshield and have no fit issues. There are a couple inches to spare and I could always pull it further forward. I think you should be able to fit the sled no problem...worst case you'd have to pull further forward and wouldn't be able to open the front to drive off the front.

we just went thru this same problem...I think his is a 12 foot clam triton....his machine measured 10.6 from tip to flap....mine was 11 foot...the flap would have to be bent to fit...unfortunately these days you have to go bigger with all the new sleds...we did not take it....too short or too close to scratching new machines...took my 4 place triton 101 elite....they barely fit now just the 2....with 4, the back 2 have to hang off by about a foot and the skis overlap a tad
