Is this the Change that everyone was looking for????

This was set into motion way before the change in presidents. There is so much momentum that builds up (either good or bad) that the results would have been similar regardless of who won the election. Don't believe bumper sticker politics.

Exactly.... this was going on long before the "Change"! No party is
ever satisfied, but i'm sure we'd be much better off if the GOP was
steering the ship. *sarcasm*

Obama told us that we HAD to hurry and get the stimulus package done so unemployment wouldn't go above 8%. It's at 10% now and they haven't even spent 50% of that money yet and a good portion of it is being spent on things that will not create one job! Have any of you looked at where some of this money has gone? The money should have gone right to people in payroll tax breaks etc. that would stimulate spending and thus creating jobs, not putting money into special interest's pockets! I don't know the exact figure, but it has cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars per job "saved or created". What a waste and a complete joke! The GOP plan would have been much more effective as it worked for Ronald Reagan.

We would have been so much better off with McCain and Palin
steering the ship.

Palin 2012 Abandon All Hope That Anything Will Ever Change!

I really hope she gets the GOP nod! She'll create tons of jobs
and the unemployment rate will be 2%.

Yeeehar!

My husband and I are both map dots on that map here in Minnesota. We both have been laid off since January and February of '09.

I've applied for over 200 jobs, I've interviewed for many and have to date been the "runner up". My husband's background has been in construction, which currently there at NO jobs. He worked for the company for 14 years and got laid off... He's been searching for a job but so far nothing...

Last month, Medica - a big Minnesota based healthcare company - just laid of 18% of their staff. That means more competition for me.

Obama and his "plan" "change" what ever the EFF you wanna call it has made the situation WAY WORSE than it was. Nothing he has done has stopped the bleeding, he just made it worse - the US is bleeding to death - SOMEONE has to make it stop cuz he's not!

Here's hoping one of these days I land a job... before it's too late for my family to recover.

REV IT UPx3!

Wisconsin Map

I find it interesting that the only county reporting better than 7-10% unemployment is Dane, where WI Government is located. A couple other states show a similar trend, makes you wonder about the size of our government.

I agree with reved on this one, it was set in motion with Clinton. When he signed the NAFTA program and sent all manufacturing out of the country, what did they think was going to happen. Then two weeks into the Bush administration people started blaming him for the downturn in the economy. When this country wakes up and realizes that manufacturing is the back bone, and gets it going again then things will change. Who do they think were buying the homes, cars, ect. Well when all the poeple related to manufacturing lost their jobs, the housing market started going down hill. Manufacturing made this country great, and that is how we won WWII, and our educated idiots in Washington don't see that. Look at some of the other countries out there, they don't import any thing manufactured. And how is China building their wealth ?, by massive manufacturing. I think we need to vote them all out and get some good comon sense people who have worked hard all their lives in there to run this great nation, not the obamas who have been given eveything in life. Yes I too agree that McAin and Palhin would have been the better choice, at least McAin loved this country, and he almost died for it , unlike Michelle Obama who hated it until her husband got elected.

This is the change Obama wanted, make as many people dependent on the government as possible. It's the ball rolling towards socialism, while the unemployment rate was growing and growing all the liberals were worried about was overhauling healthcare and adding more of a tax burden on the working people. The democratic party has been highjacked by the libs, this might sound radical but it is the truth. And that is to bad because I think there actually was a time when they were for the working people. Now the only things they seem to be concerned about is abortion rights, gun control, huge government entitlement programs, global warming and so on and so on. Anyway, I suppose this will get deleted but thats my .02
