As someone else mentioned, call the club, maybe even offer up some assistance. Don't bash them on a public snowmobile website.

I disagree...WD saw a problem , and stated what he saw....and yeah...he gave the club a little kick (some of them need it)...like I said WD has been involved with his clubs up there, and I have been over in my area for over 25 years...so don't tell me or anybody else to offer assistance to the club...we've probably already been there..done that....maybe a little public scolding will help...maybe it won't depends on the type of people you are dealing with.
Maybe WD felt they needed a little bashing...dunno?? All I know..is he calls it like it is, and has for many years....and some of you are barking up the wrong tree.

Blah blah. Your ride was "ruined" because it wasn't groomed to your liking, while others are spending their day off repairing a groomer. If you're so involved in a club, you would know what's involved in maintaining trails. And things dont always go as planned. What good comes of someone complaining on a website other than discouraging the people doing the work from doing it next year. And who is he to scold anyone? Let's be honest here, all he does is ride trails that other people have groomed, then comes on here and critiques them. Talk to me when he starts spending more time in a groomer then riding....

I certainly don't want to ride to a place I can't get to. Trails in Eagle River and Conover were awesome today. Big shout out to those clubs for great groomin'. Had a ball. First time I have been out before Christmas in years. Rev.

Hope WD made it home. I went to LOL Rec & back in a CCW rotation via 8E, 6W & 13S. Land O trails were about the same as Conover's.

Thanks Bryan we call it like we see it in real time always have always will...some like it some do not and I'm ok with that. Found out Phelps Trail Boss was out of town during the week so I'm sure that had something to do with no grooming on Phelps trails. I'm involved with snomo clubs up here but not every club and I move around club to club. To me this is no big deal and I don't feel I need to formally resign from any club just move on as I please. I'll help any club with trails if I can but they need to call me or email me to let me know what they need. There is no way for me to know what every club is doing or needing within a 50 mile circle of me which also includes Forest County and Iron County MI. Everybody needs to and get out there and ride enjoy what we have in the now not worry about old news as one thing is for sure conditions are changing as I type. I'll be back out Friday having a ball!!!

Those cherry Apex & Vector still there? Yeah I just kept riding east ...lol... somehow did 90 miles it felt so good to be riding today. Great job on Conover trails!!!

I met Venturenorth, ndrev and Jim Andros for lunch at the log Cabin in Conover.....great to see the guys again!!...Ok real time at 3:30PM 12-22 condition report today as follows for Phelps & Conover. A lot of snow in the woods in Phelps trails 6e-6w groomed & coming together but has some big bumps so be prepared much improved from Monday's no groom. Tree down blocking 6e trail just before the shooting range so I cut a track on the north side so riders can get around it. This is a traditional wet spot but frozen hard but not groomed...no big deal just be prepared for it. Phelps Trail 17 the same with an overall Fair-Good rating as long as grooming is maintained. It is supposed to snow 2-4" Friday so will just will get better. Conover Trails 8-12-45 in mid season Good form fast, flat, groomed to the max lots of fun...easy to have your speed get away from you so keep that in mind I know I did looked down and was doing 80mph just gliding along...lol... One Conover signage problem PM Jim Andros he can tell you exactly the intersection ...50-50 choice & of course I chose the wrong fork but who cares I was riding but a bit late to lunch..lol... I had a ball out there and the guys said St Germain & Eagle River trails were all just as good as Conover. Hats off to those clubs they did a phenomenal grooming job. I had a ball and somehow rode 90 miles in a few hours and will back out Friday.
