Ubee its people like you and pirate that get the trails closed for everyone! What DON'T you understand about CLOSED I THINK IT MEANS NOT OPEN? Arse holes that think they can go where ever they want when ever they want cause the people to close trails on there land and the state to forbid use of the land by power toys. Why yes why do you think we don't have ATV trails? Because people don't stay on the trails or follow the rules. On the news tonight they said the trails are closed and even with the snow stay off. If you want to ride so DAM bad by your rules then buy 600 acres and ride around in big circles all you want. Otherwise please don't reck it for the rest of us that follow and respect the rules

Before u go all crazy on him he talked about riding lakes and all public land. He said he does not cross any private. A lot of logging roads and fire roads are legal to ride year round no matter the snow. I don't think ubee would do anything that what jeopardize the trails for future use. And if u can ride why wait till next year there is going to be great riding to be had if they get the snow.

Ubees comments taken the wrong way!

Alright you guys, ubee is being perceived the wrong way by his comments.
When he said that there is no law saying you cant ride the trails, he didnt mean that he was going to ride them. Let me tell you something about ubee, in 1967 he was the person who cut the 1st trails in the woods from boulder jct to presque isle! He has been riding unplowed logging roads his whole life.
When the trails are open we never ride them anyway.
Ill be riding with ubee friday on the vilas co back trails and unplowed logging roads and lakes along with the vp of the boulder junction snowmobile club.
Easy on ubee hes getting a little long in the tooth!

Hey ubee...thanks for all of your great reports and all the info you give in an area I love to ride. I'm jealous of you and roc.

Happy riding when you get dumped on!!

I can confirm that ubee knows what he is doing. We rode almost 100 miles one day without touching a trail. You should be jealous and you should leave him alone.

Open mouth and insert foot ! I just laughed at those yobobs when they were ranting about ubee. That guy has kicked more snow off his boots than they have ridden. ha

That's great that he knows where to go and to do it and stay legal, for that I will say I am sorry for jumping on him. The one thing that still bothers me is when you have a great form like this with lots and lots of readers and you say there is no law to say you can't ride on the trails, anyone interested in saving what we have should not tempt thousands to ride on closed trails

I dont think we have to worry about riding in Vilas. with the 1/8 inch of snow we got I dont think it will be enough to bring the trails up to riding condition.

WOW, Jeff according to the GPs we are only 1.8 miles apart and I'am in a total whiteout ! News say storm is a narrow band of heavy wet snow !! Rocs on his way up,are you ready ?? Schools still open here, lots closed in Vilas and Onieda counties !!

I don't know if the bill you refer to has passed but I would not be surprised if it did. Some people just don't realize how much snowmobilers are disliked because they do not stay on the marked trail. Snowmobiling is a big industry and there are rules & regulations and peoples disregard of them cause area's to be closed.

Ubee - I know who you are and are surprised that you would post this: "! checked and there are no laws written that say you cant ride on them once they are closed"

You know what you mean and I know what you mean but somebody on this board will see this and think that it's OK to ride wherever they want but they can't!

Put up a post that says "come to BJ this weekend and ride legally with me" or something.

Our club just had to calm down a MAJOR landowner because somebody was playing snowcross racer on his property. We lose him and a state corridor trail is SHUT DOWN.

I'm sorry but I don't care if somebody on this board has a history of a million posts...that doesn't mean that they are a credible source of information!

Vilas trails are closed and won't reopen, what part of that don't you understand ?? Boulder Junction is almost 90 % state owned lands .I use my GPS and a plat book and stay off private property! never had a problem in 46 yrs of riding !we have 100's of lakes and swamps to ride without touching a trail anyways!

Pretty clear that I said the Vilas trails are closed and wont reopen. They are closed so stay off of them! REASON is the clubs insurance has lapsed ! we have 100's of lakes and swamps to ride without touching a trail anyways! lots of ice fishing left and beaver trapping ! I reasearch the law and cannot afford a ticket with my Wisconsin Guide License and livelyhood.

Then there must be another "ubee" on this board.

Well it looks as if the trails are closed and the storm has past the area once again, I would have loved to get one more ride in with the kids. I appreciate all the offers to guide me around the area, It sounds like I'll put the sleds to rest and look forward to spring sometime soon. Ubee, I'm not a fisherman but would love to have you take me and my son out sometime and catch a few. Our lake has tons of smallmouth but I can never seem to catch them.
