well, from what I see all over any more, it sure seems like a LOT of folks anymore are lacking common sense, and its in a lot of young folks and I doubt its from watching the news and fake , fear based media
as, IMO< its a LOT of the older folks that watch all the news, and well, with there age came a lot of common sense!
SO I don;'t think its media that is making folks make bad decisions and or well, dumber maybe?
its folks today that wish to want to believe what ever they want when they want and then CRY when there belief's fail them, and act like its someone else's fault, they made a DUMB decision!

there is a un realistic need it seems for everyone(or the majority) to need to be famous and have lots of attention on themselves
taking selfie's, posting things online, so everyone can see what they did
yrs ago, most folks would be embarrassed beyond belief , if folks knew the things, people,today cannot wait to show the world they did!
were becoming a society foll up people with now shame, or embarrassment for doing DUMB things!
and to the point, doing DUMB things is making many very wealthy people, as even DUMBER folks are making them such!

Damn it! Why are you spreading misinformation like this. This is nothing like we ever had in the last 50 years. There have been more deaths in the last 2 months from covid than in all of the 20 years of the Vietnam war. It is now becoming the leading cause of death in the United States.

If you think things are going to go back to the way they were a few months ago, THEY ARE NOT. They can lift all of the restrictions they want. Folks will not be going out and about like they did before this all happened. It is going to be a long slow recovery. Some industries will be hurting for a very long time.
Scared folks will not be going out and about. I'm not one of them.

I am beginning to wonder why some ppl are trying so hard to keep this scare mongering going. Even on a website like this one. Are they part of an organization?....Are they getting paid?
Even worse is the attempt to silence the science and professionals that don't preach the scare template.
I know some of you are tired of my reports on all the folks in and out of this store everyday (now that ppl are board
with nothing to do)….but I will say it again.....I have way more face to face interaction than ever before both with fellow associates and customers.
We have 120 employees. None have the virus...…( I hope it stays that way).... Many ppl HAVE to work right next to each other everyday.

Got that right. Comparing a war to a communicable disease isn't exactly apples to apples, but for argument's sake let's do it. Current numbers (if you believe them) indicate that the Covid death rate is about 1.3%. Death rate for the Vietnam War was about 1.75%. So yes, greater total Covid numbers, but not a greater rate.

I've been thinking the same thing. I simply cannot figure out the motivation of these people who want to so easily discredit facts that are contrary to their way of thinking, especially since it's good news! The "data" shows this is perhaps more lethal for senior citizens but not the general population. Why can't so many in the country see that? It's unbelievable to me. It's like they have blinders on. They want to only see doom and gloom and negative press over and over again.

Once again a post with a link to liberal news media - a link to CNN, Bloomberg, MSNBC, washington compost, etc., is a big red flag for me. I'm with Skylar - if you are afraid or at high risk, stay home. I am not one of them.
FEAR. The LAME STREAM MEDIA is pushing it, and its working. Turn off the TV, DELETE your Fakebook account, and start living people!!!
I suspect the media will try to keep the fear factory running right up until November 3rd.

If we all stop watching the news and media they will lose ratings and money from sponsors. Try it People!
1) The death totals have been greatly exaggerated. If you doubt that, you haven't been paying attention.
2) The mortality rate is well below 1%, and probably no worse than the flu (the huge number of asymptomatic people and low amounts of testing make it difficult to say for certain).
3) The Vietnam comparison is ridiculous. Just stop. It's not even apples to oranges, more like apples to orangutans.
4) Things will be back to normal soon. High risk people can shelter in place, and the rest of us will resume our lives.
