So I need some help on what gear everyone like best. I have been bringing in new sled gear and I would like some input from you on witch gear you would like to see when you shop. It doesn’t just have to be clothes. Good or bad I would like to here it all.

IMO the "in" brands these days are pretty easy to pinpoint.

Klim - Gear, Boots, and Helmets
Motorfist - Gear, Boots
509 - Goggles
HMK - Gear, Boots

Good! I have looked in to HMK boots. And I already have 509”s with Polaris logo’s.
But I would like to know the style’s of boots and jackets … For me I like a Castle caliber jacket because I can vent it 5 different with out freezing and it breaths so when I’m off trail so I don’t sweat. On trail it’s not my favorite it is Klim all the way. Too bad 90% of my riding is off trail. Has anyone tried the storm by Klim. A little more than I want to pay but if it last like there other jackets it’s worth it.

MAke sure you have plenty of gloves. Cheap stuff along with the good stuff. People are always getting cold hands, and will buy new gloves on the trail.

FXR we don't need yet another Klim dealer. KLIM is everywhere now no choice if that is all everyone carries. Seems to me KLIM is over saturated in the area someone is going to get stuck holding the overstock or going to have to cut prices way too many dealers. Never seen this happen in just a few years unless KLIM is cutting super margin deals so dealers can make big bucks on the stuff?

Todd you can't go wrong with FXR. I would for sure be a buyer of their stuff especially their Leather Gauntlet gloves they are very breathable. Good for both hot and very cold days.

Klim, Motorfist, Fly. I have used my Klim gear for 6 years now. It rocks, and yes it is expensive, but worth every penny. Tried the Motorfist WOT gloves last year, they rock also, I used them this year trail brushing, rain, rain, rain, my hands were dry dry dry. Have a pair of Motorfist Sidehill bibs on the way. Love my Fly F2 Carbon Fiber helmet also, very light.

As far as the "pros" and what gear they are wearing, they are getting their gear for free, or next to free, o course hey are are going to say it is the best. LOL.

Wayne,

You never know what you are going to need Ive fixed many of sleds on the side of the trail including my own using the stuff I carry in my tunnell bag. Thank you for your tow straps and equipment as well it was needed in Cooke City. As far as HPS, I know what HPS has in stock one because it is close and two my mom works their. I need them to carry some mountain addiction stuff as well because I want a nice tank for the back of my sled. And as far as my riding gear I use stryker brand that is made by castle but alot cheaper and so far I have rode with it for a total of 4 years and it still works and looks great. The exceptions to that are my klim boots which are great and my fxr gloves. FXR really stands behind their product and that is something that is huge to me.

I would recommend stocking a some items that I have needed in the past
Heated shields/sheilds, gauntlets for the handle bars lite weight Goretex gloves breath Boxes.
One item you may want to look into is Polar-Optics I know the owner they work awsome. They have been around for a while but they are a polarized tinted len which you velcro to your exsisting sheild. Durning the day I have them on the helmet and at night I have velcro in the backside of my windshield and stick it there.

Never happen! That is one reason I think they are very successful in our area. Klim policy is they will take back any stock you have left after a season or even if you brought a certain line of Klim in and it hung on the rack with no sales. No questions asked, just ship it back and they credit your account for new articles to be sent out. Thats also why you will rarely see Klim stuff on a fire sale. Because rather than sell leftovers at 10 over cost, just return it and bring something that is more popular into your store.

But for me it would be nice to see a dealer carry more base layer stuff such as Under Armour (or similar) and also middle of the road priced gloves like a Castle. $100 bill for a pair of genuine BRP or Klim gloves is nuts!

Knew there had to be a catch somewhere for the dealers to make KLIM low risk. KLIM has popped up everywhere from little representation. I know KLIM is good stuff but not affordable for everyone. As others said FXR is as good or better & better bang for buck so for me I would carry both but more FXR.

So I did bring in FXR cold cross jackets this year along with some of there hat’s and gloves. I have castle price point gloves. I should look into the 509’s I brought in some Dragons, Scotts and 100% for goggles. Klim aggressor for base layer and it’s awesome.
Does every one have a favorite HMK boot and did any one try the dragon goggles out and how are they?
