What’s Happening With AC & Yamaha?

Unless I missed it, he didn't even mention their agreement with Yamaha. He said they weren't selling to Yamaha but nothing about the agreement. Interesting...

Yeah Darren I think most thought Yamaha would acquire TRF or rights to the pro-cross For Yamaha to build elsewhere. Kennedy put out that fire by saying AC not for sale. Textron inherited the Yamaha agreement and probably doesn’t care and wants to get that monkey off their back. I know I would if I was Textron and wanted AC to stand on their own no point supporting a competitor that is not acquiring the brand.

This snowest feature makes sense and Kennedy stuck his foot in the ground and is ready to make forward progress admitting AC blew it with the media. So yes agree it could all be BS but a positive move with the media. The Amsnowmobile article wasn’t well written and took off on new products promised that wasn’t in this article. Imo Yamaha now needs to take center stage to address the media as well regarding their plans if they have any. Yamaha sure isn’t buying AC as many were speculating.

I really doubt anyone is going to believe in any more BS from Yamaha. They chit on way too many of us over the past 7 years of spewing false hopes. They simply made the decision that they would no longer build "new" snowmobiles. Textron has the capability to produce any engine/power they need for any of their motorsport vehicles. Pro-cross chassis is good, but very long in tooth. It could hold on for a while longer. But AC will start over with a new chassis/power would be my bet. It will probably be slow coming.

I worked for a private business for twenty years that had 3 different owners. I don't believe anything these guys say. The Board will just replace him, wish him well in his future endeavors, do what they really want to do, and say that the guy didn't have the same vision as they do.

The same thing that happens to all companies that do not adapt to technology, efficiency and advance their products..they end.

Maybe this is old news but it is my understanding that neither arctic cat nor Yamaha will have spaces at the Milwaukee snow show.
