Yes, I know its great I was up from feb 28th and got back march 8th. Everything was just perfect and not many people. I wish I could come up again take you pick but here's the lineup of why I'm here.
Yes, I need to show to work every now and then, Yes, today is my dad's birthday and he was just released from VA facilities, Yes, I have a fraternity brother coming in from Germany and staying with us 13-16th. Yes, I have seats to see Brit Floyd sat night in the Pit section seating at the Chicago theater, Yes, it's my daughter in laws 30th birthday the 22nd and we are doing something just don't know when and where. I wish I could control everything but can't. I'm just thankful for the great time I had last week and actually the whole season was a big thumbs up. (just got off to a slow start). Thank you to everyone up there, we really appreciate your hospitality and efforts.

I had seen that Brit Floyd show, impressive.... Gotta miss Pink Floyd, one of the greatest shows.

Trail rider, the twistier the better, aggressive but in control (I'm the one you want to meet in a blind turn if you had to meet anyone). My trail turbo is set up for the twisties, including a lowering kit. Not crazy about grades or fields and even though that sled will do 120, usually cruise the grades about 75. (anyone can ride a grade fast beyond their abilities) I only stop to tinkle, eat, get gas, take pictures or help a fellow sledder in trouble. No drinking alcohol during the day and maybe 1 or 2 in the evening in the room. No bars. I don't spend 300plus in Diesel to go to the bars, can do that by the house. I feel I need to put more miles on the sled than the truck. I like to sleep in to about 6 am and ride until dark or little later.

^now I see why the wife is done for the year^ lol

dont take this wrong..but i would find it hard to ride with u..way too hardcore..i ride for fun and to relax, which includes stopping and meeting people..socializing..meeting the locals in the areas i visit, and give the area some patronage..we put on plenty of miles and ride hard..just not straight nonstop..

Major back surgery for me, wifes frozen shoulder, and losing my 33 yr. riding Bud seems to squelch my desires for UP trail riding this 2012-13 season. But we will return 13-14 for sure. Read the trail reports every AM and listen to Johns weather reports.Really missed the North Country.

I'm somewhere in the middle. I only stop for gas and a bite to eat, MAYBE ONE beer, and every so often just to look at the scenery, take a picture and take it all in. I'm 100% trail but not aggressive. Depending on the conditions, 100-150 miles is norm, but I can do more on rail trails. I try my best to avoid justifying the money spent...it will never make sense in the long run. I just enjoy snowmobiling and it sure beats working.

This is how I like to ride too. Have to stop and smell the pine trees once in awhile. Will never be able to justify the money spent, I don't even try...

I was supposed to head up 3-14-13 in the am for the only UP trip this year but my father in law was killed in an accident this past weekend sooooo.... maybe next year
Be careful cutting firewood, "widow makers" are called that for a reason...

Jonesin, That's really harsh ,,,,,,, so sad. I don't even know you and it puts a lump in my gut. I cut a fair amt of firewood,,, I will heed your cautions.

My condolences to you and family.

So sorry you can't make your "only" trip this year. Plan something special for next year in honor of your father in law.
