It is like golf - people put away there clubs after Labor Day. People make all their plans to go in January and February. Only us lucky ones or die-hards keep going until the snow melts.

I also am rebuilding my primary clutch. Had to ride the backup last weekend. Use and abuse is a sign of a good year :)

I need to find new riding buddies. Spent last two nights trying to get someone to go. Excuses are: no money, I only want to go for a day or 2, can't get off work, and no sled.

Your buddies sound like they should be buddies with my buddies.

Yes, I have seats to see Brit Floyd sat night in the Pit section seating at the Chicago theater, Yes, it's my daughter in laws 30th birthday the 22nd and we are doing something just don't know when and where. I wish I could control everything but can't. I'm just thankful for the great time I had last week and actually the whole season was a big thumbs up. (just got off to a slow start). Thank you to everyone up there, we really appreciate your hospitality and efforts.

Heard it all before too goes on yada, yada, yada. Pack up your stuff & go riding & watch your cell phone light up while you are on route. Things like "you left with out me"? ....."can't beleive you went alone"? "how does it look snow deep"?, "oh crap going there my fav place"? I started riding alone in late 90s now my riding is 99% alone & I like it just the norm for me.:)

trailer's hooked and ready. I've never been to Iron River. Good area?

If talking Iron River MI some of the best UP trails in Iron county,MI. Groomed trails can be very tight & twisty also some corridor grades, endless unplowed forest roads. Friendly small towns some areas super remote so know your gas range. 1 of my fav areas but I'm getting old & probably should not ride there alone too much any longer not much traffic in January I would think little to no traffic in March.:)

Still have perfect trails in central Wisconsin. Put on over 300 miles in one day and only saw 12 sleds. When snow melts away here, then it's time to head North.

Thanks towtruck. jojo69, wisconsin is nice but nothing like that U.P. powder riding and that's where it's at and there's tons of it now:) As long as you're riding that's all that matters:)

I make sure to always snap a few pics with my cell phone to send to them so they can see what they're missing. They love it. :)

Too dang busy right now. First weekend I could get north is April 13. Might have been able to make March 30 work, but it's Easter and need to be home that weekend.

I don't know about the rest of them but I was out riding........and the rain/slush/sleet certainly didn't do us any favors in the central U.P.......trails were absolutely like concrete......relatively smooth but hard as all get out......

I don't have studs on my machines or I probably would be finding a way. Not worth it to me. Even off trail is probably concrete. That's no fun IMO.

I hear ya Dan who knew the best riding would be Feb & March no riding Dec just a bit end of Jan?? Heck I was ready to store my sled thinking only going to get 2 weeks or so of riding going into Feb empty the tank & forget it. Then it just snowed & snowed in Feb & March now butt deep in NE Vilas in the woods. I ride by budget too but looks good for next week & maybe 2 more? :)

Headed to Toivola Sat-Mon. Can't wait. I'm stoked!

Heading to The Wildlife Refuge Friday night to Monday with the wife and kids for the family trip. We will see how the Linq two-up Summit seat works carving with a 9 year old on the back!! (well at least for a little while) :)
We changed plans from the MN Arrowhead just so the family can truly experience the DEEP snow. (the snow is good there too, was riding in the storm last weekend and it was way fun!)..Memories will be priceless at Dave and Lori's!
