Who decides what’s for dinner

This is a "go around" in our house a couple times a week if not more, I love to cook but hate deciding what we’re having all the time. I think we should take turns and Bear thinks I should decide because I cook….I think he’s lucky I cook and should help decide. So who decides in your family wife, husband, the whole family, take turns…how does everyone else do it?

Depends. If the wife doesn't have something in mind, she will ask. I will either say something or say let's go out to eat.

I agree thought, he should feel very fortunate that you cook. Heck there was a guy complaining about what his wife packed him for lunch. Once I stopped laughing I had to ask him if he was serious that his wife packs his lunch. I went home and asked my wife that and she said "pack your own damn lunch, your plenty able. You should be happy that I cook as much as I do" So much for asking, lol.

This is so funny. I always tell the wife I'll cook it if you tell me what. We both get so tired making the same stuff all the time. I usually do half the cooking just because I get home earlier than her.
By the look of reasurant parking lots around here lately I don't think too many people cook anymore. One of the things I miss most, moms cooking.:)

The wife and i both cook ,so we decide the night before... We usually take turns cooking so it works out great ,plus the kids are away at college so no complaints ...But we do treat each other to a night out to eat maybe 2 times a month.........

My wife can't cook anything worth while, beside frozen pizza and mac&cheese or soup. So I decide whats for dinner if I'm cooking. I prefer to go over to my parents or her parents for dinner since they both live within 2 miles of us, and they don't mind.

I am getting so I don't like to cook. The reason being am tired of the same thing. When ever I ask him what he wants I get the "I don't care or I don't know" answer. If I do try a new receipe I get the " what is this" with a turned up nose. I tell him to eat it and shut up or cook your own meals but I don't have no luck with that. I wish I could get him to cook once in awhile. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I can't even warm a pop tart in a toaster very well. My wife is a great cook. I will eat anything she puts on a plate. (except pickled beets). My Daughter is in Culinary school and they are ilearning desserts right now. I am starting to look like cheese cake. lol.

my sister decides pretty much. she doesn't actually say "let's have this" but she is such a picky eater, and if she doesn't like something we won't have it. so she narrows it down pretty much to 1 thing every night.

Are you older? Pull Rank on her. Eat what Mom makes and like it should be the rule. 1 thing? like green beans and nothing else? or Ice cream?

We both decide, it depends on who gets home first. I'm not much of a cook, but my wife is an excellent cook. When I cook it is something easy, when she cooks it is usually very good, and once in a while she will try something totally new.
