I'm always thinking about it. Started insulating my new enclosed trailer today. Put on my "Evolution of Snowmobiler" decals. 20170603_163838.jpg
Took clutch in for balancing last week. Waiting for brass bushings for front end to arrive (bought online unused previously purchased). Pull suspension and put them in next week probably. Been shopping for track shocks, mine are shot and not rebuild-able. Have to replace hyfax, lost a center bogie and wore a thin spot into them.
But did get myself a little distraction for summer. A 17 Can Am outlander.
Went to Hillman mudfest last weekend had a **** of a good time.
Trailer is being used as my housing at these mud events as well as this winter for sledding.

Hey Grub try to pick up on any talk regarding Yamaha & Textron new OEM Agreement as current agreement is running out. Since Lockheed Martin expressed interest in buying Textron the new OEM Agreement went silent. Figures Textron does not need that baggage right now but Yamaha has to do something for their customers???

Yup. Planning on bending as many ears as I can. I ordered the RTXLE 129 Sidewinder 50th Anniversary Edition. They are building a lot more 137s. They build 20 sleds an hour and they are only building these particular sleds for 2 hours. Which means 40 sleds by my Minnesota math. If the Yami agreement goes south I might truly have a collectable sled before I even get it home.

That could really be a rare bird ....I would think the 137 would be a better hook up for all that power and I really don't like studs. Prestudded Iceripper for me.

No pics. No pics allowed. There are a lot of sub assemblies so they go together in a hurry. They run all of them at the end. Quote interesting. Everybody working there like a zyamaha. Textron not so much. They are already sticking Textron stickers on the AC four wheelers which the workers are not impressed with.

Yep typical when bought out tuff to rebrand the new name but got to go with who pays the bills...lol Pick up on any Yamaha rumors?... Coming or going? Lockheed Martian buying Textron? Has to be difficult on the employees just getting used to Textron then Textron could be bought out....crazy.lol

I think we will know sooner than later. As of now they are building YamaCats. It could change in a hurry. Lots of players now.

I have never toured Valcourt. I have been at both Pol and now AC. I have no idea what goes on at a fully committed place. AC seems a little slap dash but they are getting it done.Textron is for sure bringing their 4 wheelers to TRF. After that who knows?

Your guide did not want to talk about Textron too much and didnt even know about Lockheed. Also didn't even know Suzuki was done. Not much to be learned there. That have a new 15 million dollar paint room. After that the whole place looks 1960.

I get why they wanted a different name from Arctic Cat since so many of the dirt products sell outside the northern snowbelts. But Textron is just a dumb sounding name, IMO.

Must be cool to see your sled getting built!
