Why did my thread on Governor Walker get pulled? A moderator that doesn't agree? There had been a thread on here before about Walker that went on for weeks and never got pulled! Consistency is all I ask.

mspease, there are only 9 rules we must follow and you touched on # 8 "No posts with Religious or Political viewpoints. I am religious and political too, but these are two topics almost certain to offend, so it's just best to avoid them in this forum."

Well, if anyone would like an email of what I had copied and pasted, just provide your email below and I will forward to you. I guess we will have to go "underground" to get the message out. If only we had a fair media in this country. We need more governors just like Walker.

Don't feel bad, going underground on this site is common. FB is were the stories usually finish out. Rules are rules.

I know all about the rules but they are not enforced with any consistency. Don't you remember the Walker thread a few weeks ago that went on and on about why we should recall him? It went back and forth on both sides but that never got pulled. Now I try to give a fair and balanced counterpoint and it gets pulled. There was nothing nasty about it, just stating some facts that the are not getting out there. Bottom line, WI went from a $3 Billion defecit to a $300 million surplus in his first year and you hear nothing about it!

I pulled it because it clearly broke the rules.

I am sorry if the moderating has been inconsistent lately, but most of the mods that help me are all very busy, which leaves most of the moderating up to me. I try my best to be fair, but there is a huge volume of posts all day from around 7 am to 1 am and sometimes posts that should be pulled slip through the cracks.

My apologies.

I understand you alone can't monitor all the posts, but that other thread was at least 2 pages long and went on for several days before it lost steam. I find it hard to believe that not one moderator saw any of that thread. There have been lots of other examples where they don't get pulled in the past year so I thought it was ok as long as it wasn't malicious. I guess zero tolerance is the only fair way. Pull them all!

HCS current events is the place to go. few whack job libs over there that will defend all socialist gov intervention till they are blue in the face. fun to F with them.
btw I LOVE WALKER and all he stands for and wish he would have had a few more yrs in before this current run for the white house

why not have a political section?
just from a # of hits per day in the summer would make it a biz decision worth mulling over.

It would increase posts and thus revenue, but I guess the ugliness it would bring to the board is not worth the extra income- at least to me.

in a way could be true but it would be a place for people to post those things that will be posted any way. prob in the off topic more likely to get more traffic and better chance to offend .
so now you have a section like say hunting that has only people who hunt visiting.
you step in to a political section you know you are going in to a can of worms and better be prepared to be offended.
in a way less moderating just a place for big boys to have pissing matches. most who get there political information from watching campaign adds in between American Idol and Mary kate plus 8 would never visit any way.so less moderating would have to be done buy you
Just playing devil's advocate

I have no access to a computer at my new job. I leave for work at 4:30 am, and depending on the hours we are working, I get home between 5 and 7 pm. So after supper and a shower I get on the computer for an hour maybe if I am lucky. This does suck as far as me being able to spend a lot of time moderating during the day. For that I truly am sorry.

Anyways, everyone THINK SNOW. This sunny and 40 bs has to stop. LOL.

Later, Skylar.

I can see why the thread was removed...but i can't seem to understand when replies suddenly disappear. Like a reply of mine did from a thread yesterday. At least a note telling me it was removed would be great.
