Interesting thread on moderating and politics.
While it would be, at least in theory, a great venue to discuss politics, even if a separate area was created for such, it could be difficult to moderate because who is without bias?
Still if it were created it would increase hits for john to sell advertising, and based upon my own observations, this site has a pretty darn good cross section of people who, for the most part do understand that BLASTING AWAY on topics gets old and really doesn't accomplish much. For those who feel compelled to expound and go on a rant would leave the bulk of the audience behind, such rants could be frozen and a warning provided.
Of course this is John's own site and he will be the ultimate judge. But perhaps it might work under the right conditions.
Now who wants to volunteer to be moderator....I will reserve, SUPER moderator for myself, of course...........
It would be nice to have a decent place to discuss politics, and to share view points that are not filtered through the few sources of media we all hear the bulk of our information sourced.
If such a site were to be created....then there could be some folks who feel strongly about it who john could extend moderator status and the whole deal could be put on sort of a probation period. After all we are headed into a new politically active period and it would be nice to have a place to read and react with fellow sledders. Carefully establishing and following the rules which would have to be strictly enforced.
